Amazing location, right in the centre of town easy walk to everything. Large bathroom with great showers. Large spaces with plenty of room
Dirty kitchen. no staff on site, had to walk over to port Douglas backpackers for blankets and give credit card details over the phone.

Adjustable temperature panel for air-con in room. Blinds shut out a good amount of light. Central location, and only a five minute walk to 4-mile beach. The road outside wasn't at all noisy.
Hostel was extremely understaffed, so the room and bathroom could've been much cleaner. Also, there are clothes horses to hang your washing in the back outside area, but that is also the smoking area. Would make more sense to dry clothes in the front outside area where smoking is not permitted.

good Aircon in rooms, kitschen was okay
no aircon worth mentioning outside dorms, restrooms where to hot to use. no staff, they told us they’d be at the other hostel our first day and then we saw them about once shortly every day.
