Great location and reasonably priced - would definitely stay again

Location was great, Staff were extremely helpful - Bing and his wife are lovely people. The room was good and had the bonus of two toilets one upstairs as part of the main bathroom and one downstairs

Could have been a bit cleaner inside, possibly curtain or blind in the upstairs bathroom was very hot and no blind to keep the sun out, couldn't find the iron & ironing board but Bing did say it may have been moved and not put back - we would have gone looking but our time was limited and we had to get ready to go to our whanau event. Car parks could be allocated directly outside the rooms by painting room numbers on them

Central location, friendly service, tidy unit.

The management were very welcoming, cheerful and friendly. Gave us a choice of room for our comfort. Room was tidy and adequate for our purposes. The cleaning lady was very good at her job. We appreciated the clean towels every day. Lovely powerful shower. The bed was comfortable. 2 fans helped to keep us cool.

The small fridge was a little noisy for such a confined space, but otherwise not a problem.

it was a fabulous stay and Bing (first name basis) was so pleasant and walked me to my room.

No.1 feature was the bath of course. carpets felt spongy and soft under my feet. it was clean, and everything was accessible.

Central, lots of parking, and staff were very helpful. Warm and comfortable sleep.

No soap in the soap containers in shower, but eventually saw the little soap bottles by sink. Shower pressure isn't great.

Very friendly and welcoming

We are so thankful for the help we got while we were staying. I had to call at 6am and ask for an iron and it was no trouble for Bing to bring one up to our room. Nothing was a problem for them and for that we are thankful.

We are happy to recommend Settlers.

Excellent motel. We booked the spa bath option and it was worth the extra cost. Everything we needed was available and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

We stayed in the early spring and there was only one small panel heater as heating, but we assume something more substantial is available in colder weather.

Staff were welcoming and friendly - had turned the heater on for us as was a cold night. Room was great, clean, nicely appointed, good space in bathroom. Will stay there again.

Only criticism would be the drapes was a bit thin and didn't keep out street light. Looks as though the room had new paint and carpet, so hoping better drapes are on their way.

Friendly staff, close to places we were visiting, but needs up dating and refurbishing. .

Good location, central to all the places we were going to. Owners very friendly, and did upgrade us to 2 bedroom for same price as one bedroom.

Unit needed updating, small DIY jobs... spa bath and basin need replacing,..marks on bath make it look dirty and when I turned jets on brown bits come out. Toilet brush and holder definitely need replacing. Curtains upstairs had mold at bottom... needs more sitting in lounge area and more utensils as didn't even have sharp knife

Room was comfortable and clean. The Manager was very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The facility was quiet and there was a supermarket, petrol station and eating places just a short stroll away

A little disappointed

Liked the location as it was close to where we needed to get to.

The fact that I got a unit with a spa bath, but the guy did not inform me that it was broken and not working until I mentioned it on leaving. I would have chosen a room without a spa bath if I knew it wasn't working. Or maybe I could have been offered a discount. It sounded like rubbish trucks were emptying big rubbish bins at 5:30 am in the morning, which was very loud and disruptive. The parking is very tight and there is not much room when there is a group of cars there.

Convenient, has everything you need

We wanted somewhere with a kitchen and close to the squash club and shopping. This fitted the bill perfectly. Looks to have been renovated quite recently. It's not luxury but it has everything you need and is well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The jet bath appeared to have a small leak somewhere. Not a major issue for us but needs fixing.
