Great location with plenty of sunbeds / chairs for relaxing and a good pool at a bargain price. Sadly only managed to get 2 nights as it was fully booked, we already have booked for next year.

Had the best week at Coco Lanta

Fantastic location on the beachfront with pool looking onto the beach. Scooters for hire. Really appreciated the eco touches, like the reusable water bottles and free water. Great value for money. Will stay again. All meals in the restaurant were delicious .

Excellent location near many good shops, restaurants, etc. A scooter is not needed but helps. Nearest 7-11 is a 10 min walk. Loved the water stations, the pool, massage services and food. Nothing bad to say. Suitable for families, couples, single travelers.

Mini paradise!

Perfect location yet not too far from everything. Beautiful grounds and bungalows, lovely pool overlooking the beach. Restaurant and beach bar. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the accommodation was clean, cool, and comfortable, with a private patio. Everything felt relaxed and tranquil — just perfect. Also plenty of cheap and good restaurants a few minutes walk from the resort. Would absolutely recommend and will return!

The only minor downside was that the bar closed early (around 9–9:30 pm), and we (older females) didn’t feel comfortable walking to more distant bars at night. But this was during the rainy/quiet season, so it’s understandable.

The coco lanta resort was extremely outdated and need complete refurbishing and one member was unacceptable to me. The hygiene level of the restaurant and overall resort was rather alarming.

The room was extremely outdated and rather small and makes it very difficult to spend 3.5 weeks there. This hotel which was highly recommended by booking.com in 2020 and scored a 9 - sadly the hotel has not maintain this level of quality and service in 2025. All hotels needs to be rated at least every 2 years. Hope it helps. S

The hot water in the bathroom was really difficult to work out. Maybe it’s just me but some printed instructions would have been helpful.

Value for money stay in Koh Lanta

We enjoyed our three night stay in our little cottage near the beach. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a water refill station available at all times. June weather is unpredictable in Thailand so it rained and stormed quite a bit however we had a nice time when the sun came out. The beach is beautiful but rocky in the water so swimming could be challenging especially in rough seas as we experienced. The pool was lovely and refreshing. We ate one night at the restaurant which was good and it’s right on the beach with lovely views. There are a few cats living on the property which we fed while we were there as they very friendly and seemed hungry.

Nothing. FYI We ate at Lucky Tree restaurant in the Main Street two nights and it was excellent. Some of the best food we ate in Thailand.

Great stay for folks wanting a relaxing retreat

Incredibly friendly staff that were easy to communicate with. I had a late check in, and was able to discuss my options beforehand about what to do. I appreciate that the facilities prioritize reusable items and green initiatives. The location is perfect, right on the beach, with a bar, restaurant, massage facilities available. There is a laundry service partnership with the laundry business right in front. There are lots of restaurants outside nearby. The size of my room and bathroom were great for my purposes. Additional plus: I super appreciated the small water hose outside of the bungalow to wash off my sandy feet before walking in.

Great stay, would love to return

Loved my stay here, my bungalow was immaculately clean and really comfortable. Great aircon and hot shower. Perfectly located on the beach and near to an ATM and restaurants (Lucky Tree was really nice) and also enjoyed the hotel restaurant/bar to watch the sunsets , 7/11 a 10 minute walk away. Hotel staff helped me to organise a driver to go to the old town and back as well as transfer to Khao Sok.

The WiFi wasn’t the strongest but worked intermittently, I had rainy weather when I was here so could have had something to do with it.

Chilled, cosy resort

Beautiful restaurant and bar area. Cute bedroom with additional bunk bed. Big bathroom. Helpful staff. Well kitted out gym. Thought of little things like hoses outside the bungalows to wash the sand off before you went in.

Rubbish on the beach. Lots of insects, this is to be expected to some extent but there was quite a lot of ants in the room we had to get rid of.

Relaxing family time on the island

My 2nd visit to Coco Lanta and it was just as wonderful. Location is perfect for relaxing into island life and one of the biggest decisions of the day will be sea or pool. Reception staff are friendly and will book trips/ferries/restaurants for you - do try May’s Kitchen and Yawee while on the island. The family room is clean and comfortable with a large double bed a bunk bed. The sunset from the beach bar is amazing - you can sip on a cocktail watching the sun go down while the kids explore the rock pools at low tide. I would love to visit again in the future!

The restaurant could be better - the food including the breakfast buffet is not as good as other restaurants on the island. The staff are not as friendly and you feel like you are imposing when you order something. We have young kids of our own so we definitely don’t mind children but found the staff children listening to videos and hanging around in guest areas a bit inappropriate for a resort. Restaurant could be improved with at the minimum serving decent coffee - the powered Nescafé machine is not great. Loved the initiative of offering guests water bottles but there needs to be a refilling station in the restaurant area for guests. Currently can only be refilled in the reception area

Lovely staff, beautiful place - we felt so comfortable

We had a lovely week at Coco Lanta. The little bungalows are very nice, clean and equipped with everything you need. It’s one of the best spots to watch sunset every evening either from the restaurant directly at the beach or from the pool. The buffet breakfast offers everything from fruits, juices, coffee to toast, fried rice, fresh eggs in every possible variety… You can refill your own water bottle at any time at the reception (and we loved that!!). Also there is a free outside yoga / sports area and a playground for the kids (but in the sun unfortunately). Scooter rental and tour booking can easily be done at the reception.

Shadow for the playground would be a great investment :) No Grab on Koh Lanta, but the staff helps with transportation and there are Tuk Tuks everywhere.

Amazing resort we will definitely be returning Amazing to be on the beach, views amazing, on site restaurant amazing, bar very good cocktails Pool very nice if you fancy change from ocean Plenty of restaurants outside hotel within walking distance but can hire moped if you want to go further You can also walk along the beach to all the different beach bars along Khong Khlong beach! Amazing 7/11 10 min walk away Room very comfortable just the right amount of space so nice to have seats outside and lovely hammock Air con works very well If I had to write just 1 fault it would be the hot water is not consistent

Hidden gem

The view right on the beach was fantastic. The pool was lovely. Having the little bar was just perfect. Maggie, the bartender was a great host. Didn't eat at the restaurant. Nor did we try the canabis bar. The hotel massage was lovely too. The facilities are open to the public but we went in the off season so it was just hotel guests. Well maintained property. The entry was off one of the side lanes and we took a few tries before we finally reached it. It's eco friendly with min uses of plastic. There is a laundry service just outside the hotel entrance. And you can rent motorcycles to ride around. Our room was nice. There was a little porch with a hammock outside where we sat for drinks in the evening.

The position of the air conditioning was direct onto the bed. Since the rooms are compact, it was a bit intense.

Lovely place to relax and enjoy your vacation

The resort provides all the necessary, is eco friendly, stuff was very polite and supportive, the rooms have everything you need, the pool was clean and the barman makes amazing cocktails (thank you Makey!). Last but not least, the massage ladies are amazing and have pampered me all the way through my vacation

The air-conditioning was difficult to set and hits directly the bed but after few attempts I managed to find the right way to sleep in order to avoid freezing

Best beach resort experience

We loved the atmosphere, the real beachy resort feeling, it had characters. A real gem in paradise. The staff were friendly, the bar tender fantastic. we definitely will be back! The pool was a nice size and nicely maintained. The resort got everything that makes you not to leave at all. From restaurants to massage, bar, weed shop…. and of course the beautiful beach at the front!

Stunning authentic setting, delicious food and amazing staff.

There is nothing we didn't like about this place, it was absolutely fabulous. The setting, the staff, the gorgeous bungalows with the hammocks outside and general authentic feel were just perfect. Great value for money as well, cannot recommend it enough. We will DEFINITELY be back! The restaurant and bar on site are also amazing and serve delicious food and drinks.
