Apartment Jonquilles-7 by Interhome

The apartment is generally clean and pleasant. The location is very good. It is a short walkable distance into the centre of town (about 5 to 7 minutes leisurely walk), 2 minutes walk to the coach and bus station and a supermarket. Coaches go to Geneva airport from the coach station. The buses go to various ski locations and being the South Chamonix bus terminus you can always get on the bus and quite often get a seat. There was a pleasant surprise Welcome pack with dish cleaning supplies (scourer/sponge, dishing washing liquid) and a toilet roll ( you will probably need to buy more for a family of 4 but enough to tide you over for 1 to 2 days). You need to book bed linen and towels (if you don’t want to bring your own) separately with the letting agent. These were delivered to the apartment beforehand. Our arrival was outside opening hours and we had pre-arranged for key collection. This went smoothly and as planned. The letting agent is pro-active and responds in a timely manner. They can also be contacted by phone.

The balcony does not have mountain views. It faces another block of apartments

Excellent location. Close enough to walk to the centre of Chamonix in 5 minutes. Enough local bars, restaurants and shops for everything you need.

We didn't realise that bedding was extra, but this was not issue once we saw the letting company. It's not the easiest apartment to find if you arrive late at night. It's very cosy for 4 adults.

Interhome staff as always friendly and professional. We arrived late because of a problem in the Mont Blanc and they left us the keys for the apartment in a pre defined place. I like the area of Chamonix sud which is quite convenient for the main bus stop.

The apartment is adverstised as dog friendly. Unfortunately some neighbours are quite dog unfriendly and herrased us for our dog. The apartment itself is a bit run down. The original door separating the living area from the entry corridor has been removed, and in my opinion should be put back in place in order to be able to separate the dog from the entry door when left alone at the apartment.

Kort gångavstånd till busstationen. Men det riktigt tråkiga var att nycklarna behövde vi hämta och lämna 15 minuters promenad bort. De kunde ha en låda vid lägenheten där vi kunde lägga i nycklarna vid utcheckning. Väldigt spartanskt och enkelt boende men allt vi behövde fanns.
