It is a family owned and a family run hotel with a focus on making the guests feel welcome. The owners are proud of their land and its traditions, and this passion is visible in their offering. The hotel is small, which allows for excellent quality of service, especially in the food that is served and the cleanliness. The deco is unique and very different from anything else you may find in the area.

2/5 – Disappointing Experience Despite a Beautiful Location

We were really looking forward to our stay here, but unfortunately, our experience was quite unpleasant—especially on the first day. We booked two rooms, and one of them was placed right next to a loud ventilation system and swimming pool filter. Since the room had no air conditioning, opening the window (the only source of fresh air) meant constant disruptive noise, which completely took away from the peaceful mountain setting we were expecting. When we brought this up to the owner, she initially said she would turn the system off, but it was turned back on shortly after. When we politely asked if we could change rooms, her response was shockingly rude—she turned her back on us, waved us off, and refused to speak to us. She also instructed her son (who was helping at the hotel) not to talk to us either. When he finally came to hear the noise, he denied hearing anything. Feeling frustrated and disrespected, we asked again if we could move rooms or get a refund. The son said we might be able to move to a worse (economy) room the next day, which we were willing to accept just to get some peace. Then, surprisingly, the male owner came to our room around midnight, aggressively shook our hands, and told us we had to leave immediately because he “doesn’t want problematic guests” in his hotel. We felt pressured and unwelcome, especially at that hour when finding another hotel was nearly impossible. Only after explaining how poorly we were treated did he back down. The next day, they acted as if nothing happened and avoided us. Thankfully, a kind and helpful waiter who spoke our language assisted us with the rest of our stay. On the positive side: the hotel is very clean, beautifully located, and has a nice view. The pool is small but pleasant. The food was just okay—nothing special. The décor is detailed but not to our taste (a bit overwhelming and creepy).

Overall, our experience with the owners, completely overshadowed the good aspects of the place. We wouldn’t return and can’t recommend it to others seeking a relaxing, respectful stay.

Just perfect, best place in Dolomites!

Amazing experience if you want your stay in hotel to be more than just a facility this is the place to stay. It's an event! Staff, food, hotel decoration everything is just perfect. If you like cars, automotive this is a must. We could spend days just exploring the hotel. highly recommended for all automotive enthusiast. We will definitely come back. Extra points for great dinner, and Max on reception.

Unique place to stay

Location great, one side is narrow street, other side is just free space, just the meadow spread out, a few hundred yards from the center. Hotel is great (eating and drinking areas are large restaurant with several areas and several outside terraces), hotel has modern and old part, swimming pool with a little beach on the roof is great but obviously limited by its size but provides exceptional views, wellness&gym also great. Museum is also part of the hotel, it is unbilievable, there are thaousands of things and gudgets every where - clocks, vespas, cars, kitchen things.... Staff is one family and very very nice and helpful. Food is great. Rooms are very comfortable and except the fridge well equipped. The "inside public space" is uniquely decorated.

not important but good to know when selecting the room and organizing the stay, because my room has a bed 80 cm wide only, the rooms near the main entrance suffer from all day noice comming perhaps from the wellness airconditioning and the traffic on the street, the traffic is not heavy but when the window is open it could disturb your sleeping, the parking spaces could be bigger (but it is in the center of the town, so not easy) and better organized (late arrival when the hotel is full means a big trouble where and how to park your car, mainly SUV or a sort of multivan), and finally there is no refrigerator in the room...

Great hospitality and breakfast in the middle of the Dolomites

Staff was very friendly, hotel was very unique with its own automobile museum. Room was clean and bed was very cosy. The shared balcony was definitely a plus. Breakfast was very tasty with a large variety of options. Lastly, the location was unbeatable - right by Kronplatz and very close to Abtei/Badia and Bruneck.

There was nothing that I did not like. The price for a single room was a bit high but that is the average for the area. I would definitely recommend staying at Al Plan Hotel Oldtimer Dolomites.

Exceptional

Very close to the ski-station. Great breakfasts and wonderful dinners! The hotel is very interesting, a real museum. The pool on the roof is great. The views on the slopes are wonderful. The owners created every unique detail of the interior. They are extremely nice and attentive to the needs of customers. Around the Hotel there are beautiful mountains and lots of nature. In the mountains there are not only slopes for skiers, but also the routes for hiking. The town is 5 minutes on foot. The meeting point for the kids ski school is 5-7 minutes away on foot, which is very convenient. The gondolas to the mountains are also very close, 5 minutes. We spent a wonderful week, rested very well, did a lot of skiing and relaxed.

Everything was really great, stuff is extremely kind

The only thing that was bad is the room - it was clean and charming but so small, we could hardly put our luggage (or your foot) in it without bumping to each other. So it is great for one or two nights stay but definitely not for the whole week.

Awesome cool old relic and items

Neat and clean , awesome staff and owners who took care of us while we here. owners took time to talk to us, guide to different restaurants and stuff, ask for our comfort and breakfast was awesome. Will definitely book it again when ever visiting back this Area.

Quit good location not far from the lift. Parking in frot of the hotel, standardn rooms, excellent pool on the roof and good spa. Breakfest excellent, dinner very good.

Exceptional

Perfect location for skiing, you can reach the ski lifts in few minutes on skis and a little walk. I was very satisfied with super kind staff and gluten-free half board. They could offer so many options gluten-free at breakfast and dinner as well. The rooftop pool and sauna is great, view from the pool and room balcony is beautiful. Parking was available around the hotel. We will definately visit again!

The do not give cosmetics and slippers, so prepare with these.

maybe it's better when it's in-season

they gave a great route recommendation to get to tre cime. the roads truly are a joy to drive.

i don't like traveler review rating systems.. everyone has different expectations. I don't think it's constructive to give unhappy people a megaphone. the bed was uncomfortable. the pillows were sacks of nothing; using 2 pillows my head still hit the mattress. there was bric a brac everywhere through out the hotel. there were lots of design issues that hindered the enjoyment of the space, lamps hanging down right in front of one's face and blocking the view of the mountains. comically large keys that were cumbersome in their awkwardness. I think I was double charged. the inn keeper was overly matronly, and seemed personally offended when I decided to leave a day early to go meet up with friends.

They didn’t have parking , it wasn’t any sea view , the pool was not clean, breakfast was wired and stuff also, we had choices yes but anything was not fresh , room was not clean and the lift was always occupated ….

Exceptional

Pretty much everything. It was an exellent ratio of value for money, location was more than convenient to have an easy access to ski-lifts of Pkan de Corones. Staff and owners were more than friendly, actually it was a perfect balance of genuine hospitality, being friendly but not intrusive, while at the same time being warm, helpful and funny. I should not forget to mention the food, which was plentifull and very, very good.

There is really nothing we didn't like with this property. It really exceeded our expectetions.

Idiosyncratic in all the right ways

An extraordinary hotel with carefully curated collections in every corner. Maurizio and Theodora are charming hosts (I saw a couple of negative comments - sure, he may be a little reserved but a tiny bit of effort will be rewarded) and the hotel / museum really reflects their personalities and characters. The food is excellent, other staff lovely and the aperitivo with live music on Sunday evening was great fun without being attention-seeking or cheesy. The spa area is a delight too, I will fondly remember wallowing in a jacuzzi while watching the snow float down past the window. I will definitely book another visit.

The bathroom was a little dated but was spotlessly clean and functional. I believe there are plans to update them soon.

Where you are a person, not a room number

Everything. You feel right at home and comfortable. This hotel has a soul. The host family and staff goes the extra mile for you, with enthusiasm, humor, and a smile. Great service, cleanliness, comfort and upkeep of the rooms and facilities, great location too, no need for a car once you get there. I wish this approach to hospitality was more widespread.

La posizione

L’arredamento vecchio e angosciate,camere fredde nonostante lo abbiamo puntualizzato in reception. La piscina esterna,bella ma fredda,e non entrava nessuno. L’idromassaggio interno rotto Camere con una sola presa elettrica, impossibile caricare due cellulari. L’unica cosa che siamo riusciti a fare è la sauna per mezz’ora. Siamo andati apposta per il centro benessere e non siamo stati in grado di usufruire di nulla.

Úžasný hotel, skvělý personál, vynikající večeře!

Tohle byl opravdu skvělý zážitek. Hotel je na krásném místě, na všechny strany je nádherný výhled na vesnici a okolní hory. Celý personál je opravdu perfektní a velmi milý. Hned při check-in jsme dostaly možnost si vybrat i jiný pokoj než jsme měly objednaný, samy jsme si mohly volné pokoje projít a případně se rozhodnout pro jinou variantu, čehož jsme nakonec využily. Snídaně byla vynikající, bohatý výběr. Opravdu velmi doporučuji využít večeře v hotelu, které byly nejen výborné, ale byl to skvělý zážitek. Velkým plusem je střešní bazén, který byl v provozu i za nepříznivého počasí, samozřejmostí byly župany na pokoji. Na tohle místo bych se určitě ráda vrátila!

La gestione familiare, i particolari che si trovano in ogni angolo, che rendono interessante scoprire l'intera struttura. Passione autentica e amore per l'accoglienza. Buona cena e colazione. La piscina sul tetto e la Spa sono due chicche. Parcheggio con tettoia. Da tornarci ancora per concedersi vere coccole.

Bagno un po' datato, ma ci sono sempre margini di miglioramento e capisco si possa trattare di investimenti futuri.

Außergewöhnlich und sensationell gut!

Sämtliche Personen dort extrem aufmerksam, freundlich, zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit, es war perfekt! Außerdem, sehr sehr sauber, wo man hin sieht sehr ausgefallene und vielseitige Deko (Staubfänger!) und doch alles picko bello sauber! Respekt! Fantastisches Essen, am Abend wie auch beim Frühstück. Sehr lecker und sehr vielfältig. Auch viel frisches Obst und Wasser im Haus verteilt. Außergewöhnliche Dekorationen überall, ich kann nicht sagen ob ich in einem Hotel mit Museum, oder in einem Museum mit Hotel war. Sensationell! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Leider kein 4-Sternehotel Standard

Leider entspricht der Zustand des Hotels keine 4 Sterne, das Hotel ist voll mit Antiquitäten was natürlich in Ordnung ist, aber die Antiquitäten sind teilweise sehr verstaubt. Zudem waren in den unteren Innenräumen alte Modepuppen aufgestellt, was die ganze Atmosphäre in dem Hotel etwas merkwürdig machte. Das Zimmer war leider nicht einem 4-Sternehotel entsprechend, es waren leider Haare am Bett, im dem Mülleimer und auf dem Badezimmerboden vorzufinden. Zudem war es sehr hellhörig, und das Badezimmer war extremst veraltet, und die Abflüsse waren sehr rostig.
