The staff were friendly and it had a bath. A nice cold bath for the weary legs. The dog also benefited from a sausage in the morning breakfast

The restaurant,staff and location, food was amazing and everyone was lovely and it was perfectly located to continue our coast to coast walk the following day
The outdated room but amazing bath, oh and the bizarre door on the bathroom didn’t give a whole lot of privacy. It was however comfortable enough.

Location and individualistic charm

The location was perfect for our purposes and an easy walk into Reeth (about three-quarters of a mile). The food was standard pub fare, but the staff were very friendly.
The inn is old and traditional so we didn't expect smart rooms, but the whole place is in need of redecoration. Earplugs are advisable as the church clock across the road strikes every fifteen minutes.
