A fabulous way to experience an authentic Italian lifestyle.

An authentic Italian villa with excellent facilities and well located with easy bus access to Siena. The hosts Christina and Claudio were extremely helpful and obliging, and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We would love to return to this fabulous property in the future.

A nice place but fell short of our expectations.

The property was clean, had space, parking and was convenient to the highway and Siena. Map and recommendations were good.

The pictures of our particular apartment were misleading. The apartment was darker and the views were not as pictured. The place was between two busy roads and so we frequently heard the bus and cars traveling. It wasn’t terribly loud but did not match our expectations. The water heater made a sound most of our stay that woke us throughout the night and took away from the expectation of a peaceful stay in Siena.

Beautiful views, short distance from Siena

The highlight for us was the private sun terrace with beautiful views and sunsets. The room is very spacious and has all you need to cook your own dinner. There’s a bus stop just outside that takes you into Siena in 10/15 mins which is very useful. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Little noisy from traffic and the room next to us were particularly loud, but this can’t really be helped.

What a beautiful place to stay while discovering Siena. Clean,quiet, love the updated bathroom, well equipped kitchen, very spacious, full of Tuscan charm. Lovely garden setting to have dinner while enjoying amazing sunsets. The friendliness of Cristina & Claudio made us feel so welcomed. Christina went over and beyond to make our stay so memorable.. she even took me to the grocery store. Need I say more.

Well, first of all, the owners! This is what Italy should be about - the friendliness of people and the great passion they put into giving people the most amazing experiences! Cristina and her family were simply the happiest people you can meet. We had all the tips about Siena from them. They also gave us things to do around Siena as well. In the room, they prepared the couch for Ginger (which she enjoyed at maximum). The place is so well positioned - near the bus station (2-3mins drive) from the city. It was extremely clean and had a huge green space in the back. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is fully equiped and the bathroom is big as well. We were able to wash our clothes in there as well, as they have everythinng you need. I can def recommend this place to everyone visiting Siena!

Perfect place to explore Tuscany

Perfect location, if you want to explore this part of Tuscany. The building is located around 25 min (by foot) far from the city center of Siena. Both hosts (Cristina & Claudio) gave us great tips and their recommendations what we should see and visit there.

A perfect place to stay just outside the beautiful city of Siena. Fabulous hosts.

We returned after 10 years to celebrate our Wedding anniversary. We stayed all those years ago for our honeymoon. Claudio and Cristina was so warm and welcoming we were keen to return! We stayed in the same apartment; spacious, comfortable, well equipped with a great ambiance and homely appeal. Just a short bus ride into Siena with a regular service for only €1.70 Villa il Borghetta is a fabulous place just outside a beautiful city. We hope the family continue to run it so we can return again soon!

Clean,spacious apartment in a quiet and private setting. Cristina is a great hostess, very attentive without being imposing. Would stay here again without hesitation!

Good with some room for improvement

Relaxed atmosphere, good location close to Siena and really cool owners/management. Nice garden. Convenient laundry area. Apartment well fitted, nice crispy bed sheets and towels. Bus stop right opposite the building with easy access to the town.

Our apartment was a bit dark and facing the road side resulting in constant traffic sounds (others seemed better located and brighter). Some nice antique furniture inside the bed rooms but the closets had a damp smell. A/Cs were noisy. Garden would benefit from some extra umbrellas , chair cushions and maybe sun beds.

Great place to stay with helpful hosts. Good size rooms. Location was exceptional - a mile or two outside Siena's walls, with a bus right outside to get there every 15 minutes. Didn't have to take the car!

Relaxed and beautiful place to explore Tuscany

Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, without being intrusive. The apartment was quiet and seemed authentic and was full of character but with all modern conveniences. There is free washing and drying on site. Bus for short trip to central Sienna outside the door and tickets are sold at reception. Beautiful view and tables and chairs to enjoy it just outside the door. If I could give more than 10, I would. Should we ever be lucky enough to return to Tuscany this will again be our base.

Can’t be helped but just be aware fairly steep but short walk up from the car park. However, temporary parking space available at front door to drop off or pick up passengers or luggage.

Fantastic stay, we really enjoyed our time here.

Our hosts were extremely helpful both checking in and during our stay. The views were incredible, the facilities were everything we needed and everything was just easy. It was a really comfortable stay and would highly recommend it. Also it was a great location to visit Siena and other neighbouring towns.

Cozy!

We liked the sheets, towels, kitchen were new. Also loved the heater in the bathroom! Just missed the microwave and we also didn’t know that we would be on the second floor, but Cristina helped us get the lugged upstairs 😅, she also gave us a lot of informations about the city; Claudio was helpful at the check-out! The flat had plenty of space, heaters in every room, which was awesome.

Spacious, clean, beautiful villa, wonderful hosts, amazing views and garden area with tables available to all guests to enjoy. Very short bus trip to Siena. Car parking behind villa was spacious.

Nearby supermarket was difficult to walk to as roads not geared for pedestrians.

Beautiful old villa, great location, wonderful hosts

A wonderful old villa with a big park-like garden. The apartment was spacious and fully equipped. It is a quiet place, perfectly located being close to the center of Siena (20 minutes walking distance to Piazza il Campo) and supermarket in 3 minutes driving distance. One can directly enter the ting roads for all Tuscany directions from the parking lot without entering the city. The host family is very kind, supportive and helpful, having lots of tips for visits, walks, restaurants. Dogs are welcome.

Awesome above expectations

Location is fine but probably you would need a car to move around. The area is very nice and travelling half an hour by car you will find amazing places in Tuscany. Cristina and Claudio were excellent hosts, gave as many recommendations and places to go, were very kind. We really enjoyed from the apartment, facilities, garden and zone.

What a beautiful stay. It has everything you need for a short stay, including kitchen, parking as well as a washing machine in a shared laundry. It’s also only a short drive or 30 min walk to Siena. Oh and the people running the place were so lovely and helpful.

good location , super clean ,

it was not clear to us that the apartment was on the third floor . this is one single building with several apartments. ours was on the third floor… somehow I had understood from the pictures and the description that our unit was going to be stand alone and close to the outside garden table …. that was not the case. I’m not saying the description is misleading , but it’s probably a good idea to reword it . also there is one small clothes washing machine within the apartment, but the drier is shared, downstairs at the first floor, so be patient if you need to dry your clothes .

The best place to stay in Siena.

The owners are super helpful and friendly and eager to explain any questions. Claudio helped us carry our heavy bags. The setting and location was perfect for a visit to Siena. The bus arrives every 15 minutes to historic Siena. Could not be more convenient and enjoyable. This is the only place you need to research for your stay in Siena.

Everything was perfect - I would say that for a 4 day visit, 2 kitchen towels would have been better than one :)

excellent location to visit Siena and Tuscany. Christina and her family who run the hotel were extremely nice and helpful. there is a nearby coffee shop that is famous they could recommend and it’s a must go place.
