Staff friendliness, close to JR

Breakfast is basic, bread and butter, tea bags etc for you to grab in the small lobby. You have to eat in your room and return the plates afterwards. Double bed is too small for any couples from North America so I slept on the sofa. I didn’t know the sofa actually was a futon until a few days later. It’s very dusty likely nobody used it as a futon before. I cleaned and slept on it and it wrecked my back because it’s rigid along the middle where it opened up but soft otherwise. I’ve asked the staff for a bedsheet to cover the sofa so it’s less dust as I have allergy. Afterward I found they actually put on mattress, and whole set of bedding for me. I think the staff is going above and beyond for that and worth two thumbs up.

The cleanliness and room cleaning were very good.

The free breakfast was bad. It was just some pastries and bread, and the pastries ran out very early leaving only plain white bread for the last 2 to 3 hours when breakfast was available. There's also no coffee. The train station is also very close, which is convenient when walking to the hotel but loud when sleeping. You get used to it quickly, but still. The rooms are also quite small and plain, and the TV is on the floor taking up space.
