This property is very comfortable for a family as it has multiple bathrooms, bedrooms and alot of space to spread out. The property was very clean and well maintained. The unobstructed view of the Matterhorn is this property’s selling point- it is an amazing view! Overall our stay was great.
Pillows- The hosts should consider having a few more pillow options as these pillows provide absolutely zero head support and are off the scale in terms of having any support at all. While as travellers we expect some differences to what we might have at home, these pillows actually impacted sleeping as I am surprised these are even considered pillows. Even folding them in half didn’t work to get some head support. The walk up- after reading the prior reviews about the hike up, we downsized our luggage and left most of it back at the Tasch car park. This was a good idea as the last 1/4 of the walk from the train station to the unit is straight up and a taxing climb for all ages. We inquired about the cost of a cab more out of interest and it is about 50 CHF from train to accommodation. We did the walk about twice a day and without luggage it is good exercise but I can’t imagine doing it with much more than a smaller backpack on your back depending on your fitness level. It is definitely something to consider as you decide what your days in Zermatt will entail and whether your budget includes multiple taxi fares.

Location and view of the Matterhorn was excellent- but you’ve got to earn it by climbing the hills and sets of stairs to get to the property.
Some form of aircon/fan would have been very helpful, given the weather, this should have been a straightforward way to make the stay easier for guests

Chalet Kisseye is perched high in the Zermatt valley and overlooks the town with a breath-taking view of Matterhorn. The indoor swimming pool is perfect for relaxing in after climbs and walks among the mountains. The shower is great and the apartment was perfectly clean and well provisioned with plates and cooking utensils.
We stayed in the smallest apartment, please bear this in mind. The bed is barely queen sized - too small for me to sleep with my son. So I ended up sleeping on the floor and sofa. Not great. Also, the fridge makes a constant noise and this woke me up most nights. If you are light sleeper, please bring earplugs. I ended up turning the fridge off by reducing the thermostat. Finally, there is no microwave oven, which is surprising.
