The Murray Arms - Award Winning Boutique Hotel

We received a warm and friendly welcome from the young lady at reception. She showed us up to our room which was very spacious and absolutely stunning. Spotlessly clean and very tastfully decorated. We loved the style of our room. The en suite was also gorgeous. The bar and lounge downstairs were both equally as stylish. Fresh milk was available. All the staff we met were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was served by a lovely lady and on both mornings was delicious and cooked to order. Coffee was great too. The location of the hotel is spot on, handy for everything. We visited Kirkcudbright, Newton Stewart and Castle Douglas. We would highly recommend this hotel to both family and friends.

Wifi signal was poor throughout the hotel, very patchy. There was no blind or shutter on the bathroom window which made us feel uncimfortable when the light was on at night. There was sensor lights which were motion activated in the dressingroom and en suite. These disturbed our sleep.

Excellent. Very comfortable, lovely staff, beautiful location, breakfasts first class. Restaurant good.

Shame restaurant closed Monday and Tuesdays.
