This hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of Tromsø and a short walk to all the main attractions, as well as a bus stop for the bus to the airport right across the street. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The free afternoon waffles (17-19) were a lovely touch.
The breakfast was OK but some quite low-quality products - margarine labelled as 'butter' was a particular low point. The hotel loses points for sustainability as there were single-use cups and stirrers in the rooms rather than reusable cups and spoons. These also were not replaced once used. On the other hand, despite a sign in the bathroom saying that you could hang up your towels to re-use them, the housekeeping staff gave me new towels every day regardless of where I left the old ones. I ended up with a stack of unused towels in my room. Lastly, on several occasions where I was waiting in the lobby for my travelling companions, staff members were sat at the front desk watching videos from their social media feed with the volume up. It's bad enough when other guests do this, but the staff doing it really projected a feeling that they don't care about the hotel environment.

Bedroom’s in the apartment were very small with small beds, no wardrobes, bathroom had some bad sewage smell. The WiFi connection was very poor, breakfast was ok.
