Hotel location is good, near many restaurant and convinience store. The best from this hotel is the view. We can see really beautiful view of Tromso mountain and city from our hotel windows. It really breathtaking. The room is big with complete amenities, it really nice to stay here. Breakfast is good, enough for starting the day. Food taste delicious. Overall we really enjoy our stay here. Next time we come to Tromso again, definitely we will stay at Skansen hotel again.

The Skansen Hotel surprised us as the location was excellent and the rooms and breakfast surpassed our expectations.

The hotel is good and location is good. Breakfast is very basic. There was one day no cleaners cleaned the room and I found only on return in the evening. Upon asking I was told the cleaners are gone for the day and room will be cleaned only next day. Reception staff was friendly. It is good for average 3 star hotel.

I recently stayed at Skansen Hotel twice during my trip to Tromsø, and it served as the perfect "home base" for my Arctic adventures. If you are looking for a reliable, comfortable, and central spot, this is it. Highlights of the Stay • Unbeatable Location: The convenience factor is 10/10. It’s situated right where you want to be, making it incredibly easy to explore the city center, grab a coffee, or head out for tours without any hassle. • Stress-Free Parking: Finding parking in Tromsø can be a headache, but Skansen makes it easy. They offer parking at the property for NOK 350. While the actual spots are technically "around the corner," it is a very short, easy walk that felt like no distance at all. • The Room & Rest: The rooms provide all the basic amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Most importantly, the beds were excellent—super cozy and exactly what I needed after a long day of sightseeing. • Breakfast: A solid, decent spread to start the morning. It was fresh, well-prepared, and saved me the time of hunting for food early in the day. Final Verdict For anyone visiting Tromsø who values location and a good night's sleep over unnecessary frills, Skansen Hotel is a fantastic choice. The seamless check-in and out during both legs of my trip made my travels much smoother. I’d definitely stay here again!
