Shanghai JOYFUL YARD Hotel

The airport staff had a difficult time understanding English so they constantly had to use their phones to translate any communication that we had with them. Meantime, the breakfast was well organized because it had both hot and cold items with a wide range of selections to choose from. It was also very filling and tasty. Finally, the shuttle was very convenient since it was able to pick-up and drop-off passengers according to the schedule.

I didn't get a whole lot of sleep due to jet lag so maybe having some light snacks or crackers with milk sticks in the lobby or room would be helpful.

It is quite a way from main attractions however this is not a big deal as Didis (Ubers) are easy to access and the proximity to airport is the advantage for longer transit stopover

Easy airport transfer. Upgraded room with plenty of space. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Spotless. Helpful staff

The staff was friendly and close to the airport. The lady who cleaned my room was lovely. The staff helped me order take away. So all in all very helpful.

You can hear everyone, and water running when people flush or shower. So when trying to sleep it can bug you. The breakfast does not cater much to European clients.
