The location is absolutely the best! You are not on the touristy strip, so it's more of a residential feel, with the best supermarket right next door, but at the same time, you are a few blocks away from the beach, Leblon Mall, and uncountable restaurants! Breakfast was very cute and yummy. Good ac!

The price is equivalent to a more upscale hotel, but didn't quite have that glam hotel feel.

This is a great, convenient hotel in an excellent location. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed sitting on the rooftop:) The staff were accommodating - João was exceptional:) Would highly recommend this hotel in Leblon.

Very nice stay, but noisy.

Central location, close to beach and metro, plenty of bars and supermarkets nearby. Clean room and huge bed, little coffee machine on the room and plenty of thoughtful details. The breakfast was good and served on a nice terrace. Personal was very forthcoming and spoke English.

It is located on a very busy street corner and the windows aren’t sound proof, which was very noisy in the evening.

it is the right place for budget travelers and those who love night life

It was really close to the beach and along the avenue there are options for dinner and late night party. The stuff was really friendly and helpful. I had really good experience there.

The room wasnt clean enough but still okayish. I think the breakfast wasnt good enough. but again with the price, it was simply what you should expect.

Poor

The towels, lines, and walls were dirty. The rooms are not well-ventilated, so it was humid inside, in the bathroom you could find mold... It was also noisy outside, and it was difficult to fall asleep. However, some of the staff members were really kind and friendly. The location was super, many great restaurants nearby and the Leblon beach is amazing.

Great location and breakfast!

The location in Leblon is perfect, super close to the beach and on a street filled with restaurants and cafes. The rooms are quite clean and it’s nice that they are ensuite with separate shower and toilet. The breakfast was the best I ever had in a hostel, very healthy with fresh fruit and nice juices.

The 6-bed dorm rooms are quite small. The bathrooms should be cleaned twice a day.

I loved the location, staff, food and cleaning!

No privacy at all, super tight bathroom with bad projects to open it door. No preference for people unable to climb steps to the upper bed. They should reserve lower bed for overweight people with feet problems.

Disappointing

The location was very nice. 5 minutes from the sea, Leblon beach. The internet was also good. The bed was comfortable.

The room we had was super small and unfortunately there was no relation with the photos. The use and the time degraded the main elements of the room. The sheets and the towels were or seemed dirty, as they had big spots on them. Our room was on the first floor and we were often waking up from the noise of the road. There was also a weird smell, probably from the road in front. The breakfast was poor and we got the impression that the cleaning rules were not kept. Lastly, there was no soap for the shower.

Good value for money, great location, nice breakfast, needs to invest on new linen

we loved the location! The hostel is within walking distance from the beach and nice eateries! The surroundings are not only pretty but safe. There’s even a great 24 hour supermarket across the road in which you could even have lunch or dinner at a good price. The subway isn’t that far away either. The breakfast is very good, though the coffee not so much.

As for the downsides, the room was kind of damp smelling, the mattress was very old, sinking, and the sheets were smelly and very thin too. What must be said though is that there was a cleaning lady changing the linen every three days, which was good, and cleaning the room every morning.

Exceptional

Best location ever. Close to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, and everything you could want. The rooms are clean. The staff was very friendly. Easy check-in and check out. The breakfast is served on the terrace with a great ambience. Food was not abundant yet contained everything you should want for a healthy breakfast with fresh fruits, eggs, coffee and juice. we were travelling with her two kids and stayed in a room with a double bed and a very good bunkbed. That would fit an adult. The room is small, but yet sufficient space for luggage. Really great value for money. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend

Private bedroom is not worth it

Good location and good breakfast

Rooms very small and dirty, nothing like the pictures. There was even a baby bat in the corridor. The bedroom (private) didn’t have blankets, no toiletries, and the hairdryer was broken. Since there are no phones in the bedroom, it’s annoying to have to go downstairs every time a minor thing is wrong. Only one person of the staff was nice, the rest almost rolled their eyes with each question.

Superb

Staff assigned me a Lower Bunk that I had Requested for my 61st B-Day and that makes a World of Difference and Appreciated and they Change the Sheets Daily and make up the Beds as well.

No One was offered a Blanket at Ck In but were available at Request and the A/C works Well so there is a need.
