Great hotel but need to look at details

Large modern rooms, hotel on beach

Significant work being carried out and wasn’t informed. Lots of little snags, shower went cool several times every shower, restaurant toilets on 2 days had no toilet paper, bins or soap until I complained. People allowed to put towels on subbed early morning and go back to bed.

Unbelievable stay at Aonang Beach Resort!!

We arrived at the Ao Nang Beach Resort and was apprehensive due to some of the bad reviews we had seen due to construction work that was taking place. When we arrived the reception area was beautifully decorated with a purple leafed tree, and we were greated by the reception staff who were lovely and very professional in their manner. We were swiftly checked in by Kae the duty manager, and shown to our room that was overlooking the pool with a sea view. Our room was exceptionally decorated and very comfortable throughout our stay. Every part of the hotel has been upgraded to an excellent standard and their was some snagging taking place but NO construction works or noise at all. The location is brilliant with the beach 10 yards from the hotel, and the main strip 100 yards along the beach wall. The pool area and swim up bar was great and this is where we spent most of our days in the sun, where we found ALL the staff to be so lovely and always smiling, from the front desk staff, bar staff, restaurant staff, chefs, chamber maids, concierge, massage ladies, and even the maintenance workers stopped in their tracks to say hello. The breakfast was very well laid out and had every choice you could think of. To conclude, we would recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will be returning later this year 100%. Well done to everyone at Aonang Beach Resort, you have hit the mark in every way!

There is a children's pool around the back of the hotel along with a playground area. In my opinion I think that the front pool and swim up bar should be adults only.

The best hotel in a very busy area

Property is going through some renovations although most building work completed by the time we were there, nice large pool and comfortable day beds. Nice having the spa on site for a more peaceful massage. The prices are good overall for food and drinks onsite.

The rooms are a little dated- the tvs don’t work with newer phones to cast Netflix, the hairdryer had exposed wires and was very weak, the shower gels don’t smell too good. We were disappointed the ‘on the beach’ description doesn’t mention the main walkway in between the hotel and beach with lots of traffic, so sitting in the bar felt a bit like being in a train station - that said the seats at the bar (at bit further away from road) itself were really nice. The beach has a lot of long tail boats (very loud) coming and going so is not really a beach for relaxing or bathing. Sometimes the music at the bar was too loud, and it would be nice if they put candles in the tables to build more ambience.

Beautiful resort, perfect location

The rooms are comfortable, the view at the pool is amazing, the location is perfect: at the beach and near the busy streets but still quite and relaxing, the staff is so friendly!

When we stayed there, the renovations where still going. But we didn't really mind it... there was only a little bit of noise at the pool during the day, but we only used the pool everyday for like an hour or two. We were always out and exploring beautiful Krabi. But we are really curious to see the resort once it's finished!

The construction is obstructing the oceanview room we booked, construction was meant to be finished before our stay , it was still going and will be for months The noise was from 8am - 6-7pm Not relaxing at all listening to power tools all day The beds were horrible would have been more comfortable on the floor , mattress was like concrete came away with a bad back

Cannot recommend this hotel

The location is great. The room was fine but the view was terrible based on the fact most everything in site was under construction.

The hotel is in major need of a facelift. Very dated. The entire wing where my room was located was under some level of reconstruction. The elevator was missing and the noise during the day was terrible. They should not be renting rooms in that part of the hotel. Can not recommend this hotel.

Sold a lie …

We stayed her in 2018 so planned to return as wed enjoyed our stay - when we booked all the rooms were non refundable- now we know why there’s significant building works being done which whilst not huge disruptive the photos of why you think you are getting g are not what it’s like in reality there’s no beach front any more and you eat breakfast in a dark dull room which was substandard to say the least . Staff are not particularly helpful

Great location , comfortable room

The hotel was undergoing a full renovation and extension . This was not mentioned at all before paying for our stay . It was like a building site , rooms should not be sold with major renovations going on . Payment was taken first . Then a description of building works was explained . Not acceptable as not able to cancel booking once informed . Noise levels were ridiculous between 8am-20.00. Not across I g break at all , very disappointed .

Perfect stay ruined by massive renovation works

We wanted a beach front hotel and Aonang suppose to be the perfect choice. Spacious room, super comfy bed, nice toilet and good amenities. And its right at Aonang beach front and isolated enough from buzzing of city.

We were not inform properly about the extent of renovations works ongoing. Its massive, entire beach front area sealed off. day time constant noise from the construction works annoying and we can feel the dust in our room too. Not the ideal time to stay here till completion of works.

Good spacios rooms

The resort is at a very nice location. The room was very spacious and clean. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and all other foods were awesome.

Krabi in general offers good value, variety and beautiful scenery!

Excellent location, walking distance to beach, many restaurants and supermarkets. Resort pool area was large with lots of loungers. Rooms were spacious with nice size balcony.

Resort is currently under going major renovations so lots of noise, we were out most part of the day so did not worry us too much.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price We booked this resort for 2 nights but ended up checking out after just 1 night because of how terrible our experience was. First, the room was not clean at all – we could even smell someone’s saliva on the pillowcase, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a so-called beachfront resort. Second, the power kept going on and off multiple times, making it impossible to relax or even properly rest. Third, the Wi-Fi was down for most of our stay and took ages to reconnect, which was very frustrating. Fourth, despite calling the front desk several times to complain, nothing was done to fix any of these issues. They didn’t even have the courtesy to follow up with us or inform us whether they could resolve the problems. Lastly, the breakfast was well below average – I’ve honestly had better at 3-star hotels, which makes this even more disappointing. We chose this place expecting a relaxing beachfront getaway, but instead left frustrated and dissatisfied. Definitely not coming back and would not recommend this resort to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Ao Nang.

A great stay in a lovely hotel.

Fantastic and ideal location with a beach access. Close proximity of restaurants & bars , shopping areas. We booked 2 deluxe ocean view rooms which was on first floor with in fact not a proper ocean view and also the lift was not working. The reception staff was very professional and courteous to the deal the situation as my mother in law 74 years travel with us. They gave us complimentary upgrade to a deluxe pool view room on ground floor which was very comfortable and cozy with a private balcony facing the pool. The pool facilities were excellent. Bed & linen good.

We wished that the restaurant inside the hotel have more varieties of food in menu. The food need to be improved tough the breakfast was very good.

Taking holidays at construction site - AVOID

The property is generally nice, and the pool is large and well-maintained—definitely a highlight of our stay. The staff around pool were very polite and helpful throughout, which we truly appreciated.

Not Recommended Due to Ongoing Construction While the property has a nice appearance, our stay was severely impacted by extensive renovation work. From 8 AM to 5 PM, the noise from excavators, trucks, chainsaws and jackhammers was constant, making it impossible to rest or enjoy the facilities during the day. Unfortunately, the actual layout and scenery did not match the photos shown online. We were unaware of the construction when booking, and although it was mentioned in fine print, it wasn’t clearly highlighted. After the first night, we asked to leave early, but the hotel refused to refund the remaining two nights or offer alternative accommodation which was very disappointing. Other issues we encountered: Limited breakfast options and a small dining area located with view off the construction site. Dusty access path from the hotel to the beach. Poolside showers had very low water pressure and were not functioning properly. Overall, our experience was disappointing. If we had known about the construction, we would not have booked this property. Until renovations are complete, I would advise future guests to avoid staying here or come prepared with noise-cancelling headphones. What was meant to be a restful getaway from stress... turned into a stressful ordeal.

Location was amazing, literally 30 seconds away from the beach. Small but decent breakfast options (mix of hot food and cold food items). Staff were friendly and the hotel layout itself was nice. We had a grand superior seaview which was lovely with a little balcony.
