The staff made this place

If im honest, the photos are out of date, the bedframes are old squeecky metalic ones that shake when you move, the fridge is chaos, the bathroom has missing tiles, shower door is falling off, the curtains are seethrough BUT the staff are so good....i did not mind the lack of investment in this place If you want that personal touch, this is your hostel

This hostel was clean, comfortable and cozy. As a solo female traveller I always felt safe here. The workers were helpful and caring and the location of this hostel was amazing.

It's tricky to review this place fairly. Positives included: It is exceptional value for money. We had the private room with balcony which was spacious and had toilet facities adjacent. The bunk rooms looked spacious too Ira on reception is friendly and helpful Good kitchen facilities The location is quiet, while being right in the old town. The bus and train stations are about 15 mins walk

The shower/toilet arrangements aren't great. One shower room is still in the midst of renovation, but is so narrow that it's difficult to sit frontwards on the loo! (And I'm short) The water pressure was good though, and the top floor bunk room has its own spacious bathroom. Apart from the kitchen, there's no social space: not a problem for us as we had our own sitting out space

The staff was really nice, and we liked the kitchen with all of the necessities. The beds were okay and the room was big.

We didn't like the bathrooms which were really tiny. It was also a bit cold in the bathrooms.
