Great hotel with beautiful decoration and surroundings.

We had a beautifully decorated room with a breathtaking view of the ocean and the mountains around us. Modern, elegant and great amenities, such as pool, pleasant restaurant and breakfast. Cars were available for rent for cheap, and hotel was generally close to Naxos city. Truly a wonderful stay. Would surely return if ever in the area

A minor detail, but internet was only accessible in reception and the area around it, so we couldn’t reach it from the room. Bathroom still had previous owners’ empty shower gels out and no conditioner, and we found a few hairs that weren’t ours from the previous owner on the floor. Easily fixable points, so no big deal for an overall great hotel

A dream holiday in the Cyclades

The location of the hotel was perfect - a short drive to Naxos Chora, two beaches are within a short walk. The complex is beautiful and well-maintained, with nice flowers and a great pool where we liked to sit with drinks and books till late. The staff were very friendly and attentive, we enjoyed breakfast and all the food we had there (big portions even for teenage boys! :-) The room had everything we needed: air con, fridge, sheets and towels of good quality. Overall - we highly recommend this place. Wish I were there now..

The sofa bed was a tad hard. But it's good for the back :-)

A great resort to stay in Naxos with the whole family!

We had such a wonderful stay!! A family run hotel, with lovely suites to accommodate 2 adults and 3 kids super comfortably. Our suite was spacious and cool from the airco inside, while on the balcony we could enjoy the beautiful views to the sea. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, and the pool provided a relaxing place to be! Petroula at the front desk were very kind, provided great recommendations, and answered all of our inquires. Dimitra and Stamatis at the restaurant/bar ensured that the food and drinks are served attentively and with a smile ;-)

Comfortable and unusual accommodation with great views and nice pool.

We got a last minute deal at an amazing price and stayed in a family suite which was really spacious with great views. The staff were really friendly, the pool was lovely and the buffet breakfast was decent for a small hotel. You can walk to Agios Prokopios for restaurants and the beach in 20 minutes.

We had a problem with hot water for our shower. You need a car ideally, as it's a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stop to and from the main town.

Not as expected

Hotel territory and swimming pool is nice.

I booked a junior suite with the seaview more than 1 month before the trip becauseI wanted a light room with niceview, but when I arrived, hotel didn't have my booking, even though I chatted with the hotel and they were confirming that I've upper floor room with the balcony and seaview. Instead of my booked room they gave me so called "upgrade" to family room, which wasn't any upgrade for me, because family room was literally like a dark cave and from the terrace where other guests are walking by, you can't any seaview if you want to sit down. In 2nd day we have only 1 big towel in the room, so I needed to use my own towel after the shower. Also location is somehow ok, only if you're coming with private transport, otherwise be ready to walk up the hill for almost 1km. Normal beach with restaurants are around 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel.

Amazing property with fabulous views from every aspect, we were upgraded to the most amazing rooms twice by Georgia who was fabulous!! Superior suite and executive pool room, were out of this world, everything beautifully looked after. Staff were all really helpful and friendly, in particular Maria and Katerina were lovely and super helpful made stay a delight. Restaurant and drinks were really good value. Would highly highly recommend and will definitely return.

Location was a little remote unless you have a car, so we suggest you hire a car as no restaurants within walking distance.

Modern, beautiful and on-trend with an incredible view.

Our experience was excellent. The young man who checked us in, Manoli was very professional & attentive. The unit had an incredible view of the sea from two vantage points. Our balcony was the highlight of the room. The room was well appointed with a nice dining area, traditional Greek-style banquette seating, and a small frig. The dining areas had Greek Island white with touches of bamboo-colored decor touches. All are very beachy and on-trend. The breakfast and dinners were homemade. Over-all it was a lovey stay.

We expected the beach to be closer and more accessible, but the pool was amazing.

Nice

Stayed for a week in October Nice big room, Amazing pool area, loads of car parking. lovely balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Excellent wifi. Nice breakfast most days. (see below) Staff were all nice. Get a hire car, you'll need one in Naxos.

Had a wedding on Saturday in the restaurant bit of noise from the music (not super loud) until late hard to sleep as I am a light sleeper.. Breakfast normally had little croissants each day. After the weeding the put out what seamed like left over cold savoury pastries for 3 days afterwards for breakfast, 2 of those there were no croissants, some not fresh bread and the pastries were like rocks. No chainsaw supplied to cut them. Spinach is not a breakfast food. Apart from that breakfast was fine other days. Was end of season so not many people so I do understand they cant waste food.

old musty smell in the room, needs renovation. mold near the hottub was not very nice. the staff said that I should have reported, I think it should not have been there.

Exceptional

The staff was really kind and helpful, especially Ms Alexandra. The room was amazing - it had a small kitchen, modern shower, air conditioning, comfortable beds and outdoor place. The interior design was done tastefully and it really helps to bring the experience of staying at Golden Sun Hotel to a whole new level. The location of the hotel is also amazing as you can choose which part of the island do you want to visit. During the night you can clearly see stars and the night sky. Also, you can use the shared swimmimg pool from the morning all the way to 22:30 pm.

Pleasant staff but too far from the local town.

The staff were nice, a well-kept property with lovely gardens. Ideal if you want a very quiet holiday away from everything. You need to rent a car, scooter or quads to travel the island, which is not cheap to do. There is a local bus to take you to the port from the local village which is 20/30 mins from the hotel walking. Continental breakfast was ok with the same thing every morning.

The location is to far from the local town and the road is not great. Walked into the town in the evening but had to get a taxi back to the hotel as the road has no lights. The hotel is very quiet with no atmosphere or anything to do except the swimming pool.

Excellent for relaxation

Nice environment, very quiet, excellent to relax. Big pool which is good alternative if it is too windy for beach. Very kind staff. Breakfast was fair with good variety of products.

Too small balcony so we were too tight when having dinner or lunch. The bathroom in our room needed renovation although it was very clean. Also the room and the kitchenette were a bit too small for 2 adults and 2 kids.

The property and the view were amazing! The pool was crystal clear and the staff were lovely.

We were there for 7 days and it would have been nice to have a little more variety for breakfast. If you only stay 2-3 days it would be fine….and the coffee needs help😆

We really enjoyed our stay here, with a nice view to the ocean. A bit remote, but liked the walk to the city and beach. Not many people at the resort and pool area so good chances to get a rest and enjoy the sun. Nice breakfast, but few healthy options.

Nice hotel positioned in a quite area 10 minutes by car from the main city. Breakfast was good and different every day. It is very close to one of the best beaches of Naxos.

The outlet next to the bed didn't work and there was some sand in the hottub when we arrived.

Having a balcony with a view was great. The pick up and drop off service was excellent. The restaurant food was good but took far to long to arrive with only a few customers there.

The bed was extremely hard and not at all comfortable.
