Great for a short stay in Heraklion

Modern 3-star hotel located in the city centre, with numerous bars, restaurants and shops just a few minutes walk away. Good selection for breakfast, and the staff were helpful.

Nothing - but it would be useful to know that there are a few steps (maybe 5-7) to get into the hotel/reach the reception.

Lovely boutique hotel with welcoming staff.

Unfortunately, we got in late so we couldn't fully enjoy the property. But what we did experience was lovely. This is a short distance from the airport and an easy walk-through, the old town. Shops and restaurants all close by. The rooms are comfortable and can be darkened and soundproof to make sleep comfortable. We loved the top floor with its large shared patio.

Spacious, modern & clean apartment with a lovely view! Messages were answered promptly & good instructions on where to park the hire car & cost. Staff were very friendly too - thank you.

The hot food at breakfast was cold &/or depleted later in the morning. The old town is under the flight path, so some nights can be noisy.

Great hotel. Really nice and helpful people, room was newly renovated, comfortable and super clean, breakfast was tasty with a good variety and it's just a few minutes walk from the centre of Heraklio. Highly recommended.

Modern accommodation close to the central city with parking and accessibility issues

The breakfast was good. The hotel was modern and central to the city centre.

Two reasons that we booked the hotel were the lift / elevator and ability to park the car. (1) There is a lift, however, accessing the hotel requires carrying luggage up a flight of stairs without any help or a ramp. This could be a deterrent to people with a disability. (2) Access to the temporary parking at the hotel to unload baggage is hampered by people using one parking space for longer term parking. This situation required blocking the a busy one way street, while unloading baggage. The 12 Euro per day parking 30 m further down contacted me every night to move my car. Other issues include, needing to phone the reception to start the air conditioner about once a day. The breakfast tables are small and packed together. The tables are more suitable for people eating alone rather than couples. The shower and toilet had a shared sliding door, which near caused an accident. The electronic lock was frustrating to use.

A most enjoyable stay in a city that offers lots to see and do.

The location was excellent. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We would have liked a second chair in the bedroom, some proper cups (rather than paper cups) and we would liked more shelves in the bathroom to put our various toiletries.

After being in Greece for two weeks and staying at other places. This was pure luxury. Lovely breakfast, clean spacious room and bathroom. Nice staff and a great location! It was 10/10. Would come back without a doubt, four minutes you are at all the restaurants and a little further all the shops. Great. Loved it ! Stay here !

Breakfast - I like prepared fresh fruit for breakfast, there was only a fruitbowl of whole apples, pear and bananas. First morning orange juice & cooked offerings ran out and were not replaced despite several people arriving for breakfast. Cooked choice limited and not v hot. One waitress seemed to be coping on her own.

The Kastro Hotel met all my expectations for a tourist visiting for a few days.

The receptionist at the front desk went above and beyond her call of duty. She suggested a day trip to Spinalonga when we didn't have plans for our last day. She was able to get the taxi to bring us to the bus. We went a full day visiting the historical site, a BBQ, swimming, touring the countrywide and cruising the Mediterranean sea. It was a most worthwhile experience. The Kastro Hotel is centrally located, within two blocks of the downtown tourist area. It is also close to the bus lines and museums. The room is spacious and the staff is most helpful. The breakfast is good with the usual items like bread, coffee, eggs and cereal to get the day going.

Exceptional

Location is perfect, in the old city of Heraklion. Once you have parked your car at the City Center Parking (8e per days) you don't have to use it anymore to visit Heraklion center . Hotel very clean, welcoming and confortable. Room are very nice and big ! We recommend !
