Good location

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is quiet and convenient, with public transportation nearby. There is also a supermarket and several small shops within walking distance, including Primark, which was very convenient for shopping. The hotel itself is clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The service is fast and efficient, and whenever I requested anything from room service, it was delivered to my room very quickly. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and cooperative. One thing to be aware of is that the hotel takes a £50 security deposit per day upon check-in. However, in my experience, the deposit was released and returned to my account within approximately 3 days after check-out, which was very reassuring. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Room and beds were very good

On our 2 night stay being woke up twice each day…1st morning an excruciating fire alarm at 07.17 am and then off then on then off then on…causing everyone to seek ground level to be met with no protocol supposedly for a fire evacuation almost as if they knew someone was burning the breakfast but don’t worry let everyone wonder round confused till the fire engines arrive…I’ve stayed in many hotels and I’m lead to believe if a fire alarm goes off whether it be false alarm or not evacuation procedures kick in…sadly not…and then after having a lovely night watching a show and food we were awaken with a strange knock at the door at 9.34 to be asked what time are we checking out…to reply…12 o’clock why you knocking my door…clearly a lack of housekeeping communication and understanding…also a swimming pool clearly marketed as if it’s in the hotel but sadly around the corner in a leisure centre hence not used as didn’t want to drag everyone round the block…and to finish up a car park again advertised as theirs but clearly shared by all the occupants of the complete building block…and having gone to get something out the car was met with not reading my card to open door and then getting almost trapped in a stairway having thought this went up to reception…on the whole a very good hotel on the surface but lacking a great deal in planning and organisation.The 2 main things I put in my search for a hotel near London centre was a pool and car parking…all though both were there they were somewhat misleading in their application. Just because you slap a Marriott badge on a hotel doesn’t always make it Marriott quality if not run correctly…you can’t slap lipstick on a pig…sorry but sometimes things need to be aired.
