Booked this hotel as heading out on Eurostar the next day. 2 minutes walk to St Pancras so that box ticked. Not a hotel for the budget conscious traveller but staff were so friendly and helpful - room clean and spacious - very good. Would stay here again.

Thanks to Jason and Ghiara for our stay at the Megaro, Hotel is clean and the bed comfy , Hotel is situated close to the kings cross main line 2min walk. Also situated close to the underground 2min walk , ideal for the tube into Central London

For a Bath person this is Hotel is the one. I’ll get what was wrong out of the way first and there wasn’t much. First, there was no luggage rack to place your suitcase on. It may seem trivial to most and maybe I am a little old fashioned, but a five-star hotel should have a luggage rack. I am registered disabled and having to open my luggage on the floor is a painful exercise and I am not one for putting luggage on the bed. A luggage rack would allow me to sort through my case whilst sat on a chair. The other point was the shower was weak. Although I didn’t use it; when I turned it on there wasn’t much power to it, it seemed the head was too big for the level of pressure. All that said, those were mere minor points compared to the overwhelming hospitality shown by the staff. Jason checked me in the efficiency and kindness I rarely come across. However, it was Chiara with whom I conversed with the most. She was there when I checked in and when I checked out. Chiara was polite enough to ask about my visit to Kew Gardens; which I have to admit I vastly underestimated the size of and just how far it was from Kings Cross. She was genuinely disappointed I did not enjoy it, but I assured her it was my own fault; I know my mobility is very limited and painful. I wasn’t expecting the walk from the tube station to be so long and the distance to get to the Orchid display to be so far from the gate. I would say this is a good case for mobility scooters hire, like e-bike hire outside key stations Mr Mayor! It was the kindness of the hotel staff that saved me. I had requested a bath rather than a shower which they managed to arrange for me. When it comes to staying in London, I have had many rooms with baths all as bad as each other. Usually, they are too small to fit my six-foot frame, too shallow so you feel like you’re bathing in a sink, the water is too cold to enjoy a good soak or a combination of all three. The bath in the Megaro is like a swimming pool; it is huge and deep and most importantly the water is hot hot hot! You may be wondering why I am so excited about a bath. Well, by the time I got back from Kew Gardens I was in so much pain I nearly didn’t make it back to the Megaro. A very hot bath helps to reduce the spinal and hip pain back to a manageable level. Their small act of kindness helped me recover in time to catch my train back to Leeds the next day. Overall, the room was perfect for me; I hate the cold and will not sleep if the room isn’t warm enough. The Megaro has a heating system that actually heats. It was very clean and had a range of complimentary items that were more than adequate. I will admit as a Yorkshire lad, I wasn’t expecting the Megaro Larger to be quite so tasty, bonus point to you! I did have a good time in London and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Megaro hotel. However, it is the little things that matter to me the most. I will always remember the kindness of Chiara, she listened and conversed with genuine empathy, but it was the warm smile she gave as I left. ‘A genuine smile from a perfect stranger is worth more than a thousand compliments.’

Two problems ... amount of homeless surrounding the hotel and questionable hotel decour - maybe some rooms are nice, but ours was painted in a strange green colour.
