    Fabulous location. Near all the main attractions and sites in the old town. A 5 min walk to the tram which is great to use when coming back up the hill towards the hotel area. I came back to the hotel quite late on a few occasions and felt completely safe walking through the streets on my own as it is a busy area. I was recommended a rooftop restaurant by one of the staff members but it wasn’t the best (think it was called Vista?) . Went to The Seven Hills rooftop restaurant the following evening and even though I hadn’t booked in advance I was pleasantly surprised to get a table. The views were stunning! Total 360 panoramic views. Food was varied (I had sushi and a starter as I was getting a little tired of the meat dishes and it was very tasty) A must visit if you’re in the area! Rooms are nice. Mattress could be better, wasn’t the comfiest hotel mattress I’ve ever slept on. Breakfast was a decent spread of cold meats, cheeses, olives, fruits and salad, cereal and cold boiled eggs, but there was no indication that you could request croissants or omelettes (I just happened to see someone else get one). The spa had to be booked for sauna and hamam use in advance and was free to use. The hamam and sauna rooms were clean and hygienic but the relaxation area wasn’t up to much with lots of reclined chairs that seemed quite dated. There wasn’t anywhere to lock any belongings which I found strange, although the spa was for private bookings so no one else was there at the same time as me. I booked a spa treatment of scrub, foam massage and a massage which was average and cost €75. Again for that price I’ve had much better in 5 star hotels in Dubai. Overall it was a very pleasant stay for a first time visit to Istanbul.
