Senatus Hotel - Special Class

Really good hotel in the heart of sultanahmet. A 10 min walk from Hagia Sophia, blue mosque and sultanahmet square. There is lots of shops around the hotel for food and stores. The location is just everything. The hotel itself can feel a little bit older but it does not affect your stay. The rooms are small even the deluxe room can feel pretty small but if you are there for a few days it gets the job done especially because of the location. Hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is amazing!! The variety and they have new things every day. It’s very tasty and would highly recommend. Definitely would come back just for even the location.

If you want to visit the main tourist sites in historic Sultanahmet then this hotel is incredibly close and only a short uphill walk to Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. Our room was large and well-appointed, though the staff member at check in was not the friendliest. We specifically booked a room from the night before our arrival (which was early morning) so that we could check in immediately but he either didn't understand what we had done or was not informed so we had to explain multiple times that our room was in fact ready for check in. Breakfast was fine but basic, so don't come expecting a massive spread. But for a modest hotel it is adequate.

Staff was amazing specially Mr. Mustafa who greeted us at the reception and he was very humble and helpful person and helped us in all possible ways. Air conditioning was a little low that kept us a bit hot through night but we didn’t complain so can’t blame the hotel. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good and they tried different dishes every day. I would recommend this place to stay. Very close to all attractions. We literally took few minutes of walk to blue mosque, Topkapi palace and Hagia Sophia. Tons of shops and restaurants close by.

Rooms were clean and staff was kind and friendly. We took only breakfast and didn't regret that. The buffet was little bit small but in context of breakfast it was fine, moreover it was pretty tasty. The additional pluses were balcony on fifth floor with pleasant view on the street and bathroom, especially hydro massage.
