We stayed at this accommodation twice (as a group of five people), taking the entire floor on both occasions. There are three studio rooms on each floor, so we occupied rooms 701-703 (7F) the first time and rooms 401-403 (4F) the second time. The rooms themselves were spacious enough for our needs. We had not set particularly high expectations regarding size and found them perfectly adequate. Location is clearly the biggest asset and the main reason the place offers good value for money. It sits right across from Shinsekai. Daily Yamazaki, 7-Eleven, Daiso and Don Quijote are all within comfortable walking distance, while Shin-Imamiya and Ebisucho stations are both close by. This convenience makes it a practical base for exploring Osaka! 😀 Free Wi-Fi is available, although we did not test it because we already had a Ubigi eSIM activated and therefore cannot comment on speed or reliability.
A few practical drawbacks stood out. Check-in is only from 4 pm, but this is communicated beforehand so it's okay. The ground-floor area that appears to be a lobby is in fact a shared space with a company, so guests cannot leave luggage there while waiting. So just plan accordingly, knowing this information. You can always contact the accommodation and request early check-in or late check-out. The scent used in the elevators is extremely strong and can easily trigger a headache. In the kitchen facilities you may need to switch off the ventilation if you want a quiet night’s sleep. There is a laundry machine on site, but - as with many similar accommodations - do not bother with the drying function. It is simply faster and less effort to take your clothes to the nearest laundromat. You'll find there are 24/7 laundromats nearby, and one of them even has a laundry machine for washing and drying the shoes. Cleanliness varied between the two stays. On the 7th floor one of the rooms had a very musty smell; we could not find any mould or identify the source of the unpleasant odour. The water pressure in the shower of that same room was also very poor, and higher surfaces were not cleaned as thoroughly as they should have been. On the 4th floor the floors themselves were the main issue: dust under the beds and in the corners, a cotton swab left behind a bed, a blue rubber band between the bed and the fridge, a candy wrapper behind a machine, and a sticky fork. House rules state that guests must wash the dishes, yet staff should still inspect them properly during cleaning. None of these issues ruined the second stay, but they were noticeable. Overall, the excellent location and reasonable value make this a practical choice for a group, especially if proximity to Shinsekai and public transport matters most. Just be prepared for the strong elevator scent, and occasional lapses in cleanliness.
