Our Favorite Scotland Stay

This was an awesome ending to a month long visit to Scotland. The children loved the homey vibe of the coach house we stayed in. We all took a farm tour and learned so much from the owners. Not far from the farm is the little village of Gargunnock where the best food ever is served at Gargunnock Inn. Oh man try the Sticky Toffee pudding. Family recipe to die for. Stirling is 8 miles down the road with so much to see and do. We visited Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument and Holy Rude. Such history. Lots of great places to eat on Baker Street. Good bars too. So our stay at Old Leckie Farm was a beautiful experience whether you have children or not! Fresh eggs!!!

Getting in and out of the road is tricky. Be very careful

It is a very lovely apartment. Very homely. We even found some goodies on the table for us to use during our stay. We did have an issue with a lock, but the owners where very helpful and someone came over immediatly and solved the issue for us. :)

We would recommend this property without reservation. A wonderful stay.

Fantastic location for trips to Stirling, the Trossachs, Loch Lomond, Oban and Inveraray. Comfortable and clean, with a fantastic welcome from Alison. The facilities were excellent, with all home comforts catered for.

In a heartbeat I would stay here again.

The property was equidistant to Glasgow and Edinburgh and less than ten minutes away from Stirling which had a proper large grocery store and a better castle than Edinburgh Catle in the middle of town. it was easy to make day trips from it. Furthermore since it was about .25 miles from the road, there was no traffic noise. The grounds were beautiful and the host Allison couldn’t have been friendlier.

Its on a farm so if you don’t like farm smells, this may not be for you. I’m a city kid but I loved the smell of the farm as it reminded me of my grandfather.

Scotish vacation to remember.

amazing family vacation in the farmhouse. we all loved our stay there. Allison and the family were so nice and inclusive with our kids. They had a blast. we are coming back for sure.

not much. but if choosing something to improve, bed upstairs could benefit from a mattress topper.

Perfect for a long family stay. Alison was so helpful and looked after us despite being busy. The building itself is great with clean and modern facilities. Well equipped kitchen. All the children's essentials required for staying away are available. Location very good for driving to various places in Central Scotland. Also locally it is really fun to explore along the farm tracks. We can't wait to go back next year for another visit.

The location Alison was very friendly and helpful and gave us a tour of the farm Fergus was very helpful pulling us out when we got stuck on the drive We appreciated the bread butter eggs etc. All the animals and being allowed to wander where we liked

The drive way in is just a track which can be difficult for a low car

Outstanding!

The property was lovely, very comfortable. It had everything we required for our stay. Beautiful country side, and it was fantastic sitting at the kitchen table looking out watching the hens, dogs and animals. Lovely walks around the farm, great for photos and making lots of memories, especially the waterfall. Fergus and Alison were so welcoming, and very informative about their lovely farm.

Super Ferienwohnung

Top ausgestattete Ferienwohnung in einem Wirtschaftsgebäude des Bauernhofs, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden was man für max. 6 Personen benötigt. Alison war eine herzliche Gastgeberin. Wir wurden mit Produkten des Hofes versorgt und wir bekamen auch eine Führung über die Farm. Die Lage in der Natur ermöglicht Wanderungen, mit dem Auto kommt man aber auch schnell nach Sterling, Glasgow, Edinburgh etc. Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft!
