Our stay at the Laughing Doves Villa at Lucky Crane Villas in McGregor was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this villa has been expertly designed with incredible attention to detail. Every element feels thoughtfully curated, creating a space that is both luxurious and deeply comfortable.
The beds are wonderfully comfortable, ensuring restful nights, and the living area is impressively spacious while still feeling warm and inviting. The design strikes a perfect balance between elegance and relaxation.
One of the absolute highlights is the outdoor space. The villa boasts a large deck complete with tables and chairs, as well as four generously sized, ultra-comfortable sun loungers. The views are simply breathtaking—stretching over olive trees toward the nature reserve and rolling hills in the distance. It’s the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the tranquility.
When we first arrived in McGregor, we were unsure how we would fill three days—but we couldn’t have been more wrong. The village is a hidden gem, filled with charming boutique shops, delis, and delightful restaurants. Take a closer look and you’ll also notice the many beautiful homes that add to its unique character. The locals are incredibly friendly, and there are lovely walks through the nearby nature reserve that make it easy to slow down and reconnect with nature.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape in a safe, welcoming, and quaint village, this is the place to be. We absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly be back!

The host was super nice, location was perfect and house was beautifull. Also host provided us with a bottle of wine and wood which was very nice. The outside bath was very fun.
There was an ant problem in the kitchen, you could not leave any open food anywhere or it would be swarmed.
Also the pool was green, on the pictures it was a very nice blue. Did not know it was a "natural pool"

Perfect location, beautiful cottage with everything you need. Host was very responsive, check in was easy and the cottage was very clean.
The fridge / freezer is a bit small
