I come to Camria every year for my birthday and this was my second rental with Scenic Coast. The home was dated but very clean, stocked and perfect. The upstairs shower was lovely, although I could get the window open to ventilate. It wasn't that serious. The living room TV sounds like the speakers are going out and the top window made it hard to watch in the day time. I loved the chair and a half, the balcony and the bed was so comfy. I always bring paper towels and toilet paper but the home was nicely stocked. I had the best stay. I recommend this home and Scenic Coast!!

We stayed during a CA heat wave that was great to be in the cool on the coastline. The good: cool, quiet neighborhood, great walks, instant hot water. Near some great spots and eateries. Decent Wifi. The bad: stuffy, poor cable, no ice, poor cell service, old school check in. Bring some groceries with you, nearest big grocery store is 30 minutes away. Weber grill stored on upper wood deck (not a good idea to charcoal near wooden walls and decks in tight space). Small propane grill would be safer and more convenient. There are very easy fixes to resolve. But why aren't these easy fixes made? It takes several steps/minutes to just watch minimal cable (I found instructions on small postit note in desk that former renter left behind) Hand full of channels. Add two $1 ice trays, add floor or box fans to circulated air at night. Large window screens on front deck can't be secured while open at night. Some blinds need replacement and some windows stuck shut. No easy remote check in codes or combo lock at rental. Must go to town to use old style lock box and get documents and keys to enter unit (also renters have access to all other renters keys at the same time?) DirecTV dish mounted but not used (was at one time). No cell service near neighborhood so use online maps. This unit charges a premium price and some simple fixes would greatly improve the value of this rental. It is a great place to experience all of the sights nearby. Hope we can return with these easy fixes.

The rental was a bit better than described in other reviews. The living room furniture had been covered and looked nicer and the bedding had been updated. Kitchen had what we needed to make dinner in the house two of our nights. Great walks to view the coastline just down the street. Check in and out was contactless and easy. Very comfortable stay.

It's so expensive to travel now, that we really just wanted a clean and spacious home as our home base as we adventured around the area. To be honest, we were expecting it to be worse than it was due to the images online and some of the reviews, but it was actually quite nice. The decor is dated, but we didn't mind that. We were right near the beach {5 min walk}, in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten track. It's a cute little beach town with some older homes and some newer renovated homes. Just as you would expect in an old beach town. 5 min drive to downtown Cambria. All the basics in the kitchen were available, including a fresh bag of ice in the freezer. We hit the grocery store upon arrival and brought some of our own food and spices. You may want to bring some of the basic parishables, as i believe most are leftover from previous stays, so you may not have what you need. BBQ onsite with coals in the kitchen for your use. Laundry onsite, etc. Very easy contactless check-in. The service is very spotty, so you may not have access to calls, but they do offer a local landline for emergencies and local needs. 2G wifi wasn't the strongest, but we were there to escape, so if anything that helped. It was great for our small little families. Will visit again!

We’re going to be moving on at this point. Previous reviews of the houses condition are accurate, in our opinion. The house does need some upgrades, the carpet is stained and worn. The faucets leak. We get that it is a rental, and things to get worn out, but there also has to be an investment in the house to inspire people to want to be there. The house is in an excellent location, and it really is adorable. But it does need to be updated. The kitchen is extremely sparsely stocked, there wasn’t even any pepper in the spice cabinet. I brought some aluminum foil and Ziploc bags, because there is none of that in the kitchen. No kitchen cleaners whatsoever, no spray to clean the counters. The wand on the wooden blinds downstairs is broken, and has been since we started renting several years ago. We have lots of good memories here, but we are paying a lot of money to stay. Not so much the nightly rate, which is reasonable, but probably a third more in the Vrbo ad on -fees which have become ridiculous. For that price, we do expect a better value for the money in terms of the condition of the house.

Upstairs TV is complicated and does not work with ease. Needs to be updated considerably to operate more smoothly. If Cambria is as short on water as they claim? EVERY rental there; including this one; needs to REPLACE ALL dates bathroom & kitchen hardware to low flow - PERIOD. Kit. sink dripped & you had to fool with it to turn it off. Showerheads were definitely not low flow.

It’s a perfect location that is a 5 minute walk to the beach. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Place is always clean and the beds are comfortable. I'll start with the positive; the location is really great. The property is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and very close to the ocean with a lovely lookout point with benches just two short blocks away. It is maybe a 10-minute drive to the East and West Villages, and close to Moonstone Beach. Two king beds were great for two couples and the beds were comfortable. The place was clean. Now, I'll provide the negative. The property is very, very tired. Almost all the window blinds that you would like to use are broken. Several hard-to-reach lights were burnt out in the kitchen and family room. The bathroom fixtures in both bathrooms are old and discolored. The linoleum on both bathroom floors near the tub is coming up and away from the tub. There were ants in the upstairs bedroom. The microwave that's part of the stove/oven unit is broken, however, a cheap countertop microwave is provided. There were very few niceties that you would normally find in a VRBO property. No coffee, tea or sugar, etc., no luggage racks, very few coat hangers in either closet, no bath mats, lots of "stuff" in the closets and cabinets. Other than the nice location, I would not recommend this property.

If you are tired of heat and noise, if like sound of waves crashing against costal rocks, if you like pelicans, seals, sea otters and hawks, if you like the idea of spending a quiet evening on the balcony with a glass of wine, or in front of a fire place 1960 Windsor Dr, Cambria is the place for you. We relished our time there, and will definitely come again.

Very clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient for 2 adults; could also work for 4. Scenic Coast Management gave excellent customer service. On the morning of Day 2, I sent a message about the TV not working and two problems in the downstairs bathroom. Kimberly tried calling and, when she couldn't reach us (we were out walking and unaware of the call), she stopped by in the early afternoon and showed us how to use the TV. The directions left in the unit were inaccurate. Shortly thereafter, the handyman came and fixed the sink and a loose piece of hardware. A couple of other issues that I did not report are that the A/C does not cool down the unit in the afternoon & evening, and that the Wifi and cell phone access do not work in the downstairs bedroom.

It would be great if it could be a little better stocked. The kitchen, for example has very little supplies. For example, only a little bit of aluminum foil, no Ziploc bags, no storage containers for food. It is just minimally stocked. They were a few lights that were out, for example over the dining room table, and in the upstairs bathroom. There were no extra lightbulbs that we could find to replace the burnt out bulbs. Also, the smoke detector is super sensitive, and was going off even though there was absolutely no food cooking that was burning, it was just a normal cooking. All of those things we consider to be minor. The furnishings are slightly worn and dated, but everything overall is very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This location is incredible, definitely worth it for the price. The TV instructions, etc. definitely need reworking, but we were lucky in that we brought a laptop that we could just plug into the HDMI cord. The balcony and back yard situation are not super usable, but who needs it when you're steps away from coastal access in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood? Definitely bring kitchen items you think you'll need aside from pots and pans. Would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was super clean as described. The proximity to the ocean is great. Just a block or two And 3 or 4 blocks to the preserve right on the ocean with nice hiking trails. Very quiet and peaceful. The only slightly negative was the oven was not clean and the gas bbq was not useable. Otherwise I highly recommend this place. The manager was nice and easy to work with. We would definitely go back.

The property management company was very responsive to a couple of little problems that we had. There was a problem with the barbecue, and they promptly brought us a new barbecue within a couple of hours. The kitchen, although having the basic necessities, is not well stocked. There’s no foil, saran wrap, Ziploc bags. Little in the way of spices. Really the bear necessities. So that could be improved upon. Also, some of the wood blinds in the master bedroom, and also in the kitchen are missing wands or had the wands broken. So those need to be repaired. One of the sliding screen doors leading out onto the deck popped off of its track, and we could not get it back on, so we informed the property management folks. They are extremely responsive and helpful. All of these things I mentioned are not big deals, but rather little details that could be improved upon. Overall, a wonderful stay in a wonderful house at an incredible location.
