About this house rental

Large, beautifully furnished 4 bedroom/3 bath split-level island home is located 50 yards from sparkling Baby Beach (a quiet, protected blue lagoon in the heart of Poipu Beach). Sleeps up to 10 guess. We have renovated the interior with new carpet, paint, Travertine tile flooring, bathroom fixtures, granite counters, cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms, two baths, a full kitchen, living room area with flat-screen television, cathedral ceilings, large lanais, and ceiling fans throughout. Downstairs there is a King bedroom, full bath, and living area with a flat-screen television. Major appliances including washer & dryer, cable, flat screen televisions, Internet Connection, DVD player, and outdoor gas barbecue for guest use. Large private backyard and front are landscaped with coconut trees, tropical flowers and banana trees. This is island living at its finest! Great location. This house has everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and all the essential needed for cooking meals at home. There are tons of beach towels, extra bath towels, sheets and pillows. There are bikes, beach chairs, masks, snorkels, fins, umbrellas, chairs - just everything you could need. It’s close to so many shops, restaurants and beaches. We just had a really good time in this beautiful and comfortable house.

The property was well equipped for visitors with everything you need in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The weather was a bit cool and cloudy while we were there so the lack of AC wasn't a problem. Loved the location, close to the beaches, shopping and restaurants. I would not classify this property as Luxury but comfortable and homey. There were some upkeep issues that need to be addressed but we would be happy to stay there again.

Location is perfect. Walkable to all the retail and restaurants at poipu shopping village. Baby beach is just a few houses down. Perfect setup for our group of 8. 2 masters and two nice kid rooms. Had a wonderful too quick of stay. Thanks.

We had an amazing time staying at this house. The location was super convenient for almost everything we planned to do in Kauai. Very clean and up to date, well stocked with everything we needed for the beach. The neighborhood is very safe and seems family oriented. Baby Beach is a nice gem a few steps away. We were momentarily concerned about no AC however we really never needed it because of the great airflow through the home. I would consider staying here again if the opportunity presented itself.

Location was perfect. Really enjoyed all the extras like the beach equipment, towels, soap and shampoo. The kitchen was also well stocked. As others have noted, this house does not have air conditioning, so it does get extremely hot inside. Mattresses and bedding could also be updated.

For a large group, especially if children are involved, this rental is perfect. Lots of beach equipment available and the Pac n Play was a life saver. Lots of room in and out. Close to Baby beach, Lawai beach and snorkel at Kaloa landing. The only caution is this home has no air conditioning and can bake in the afternoon sun. Use the windows/doors for correct air flow and use the window coverings. Full length curtains and darker shades would help. But, hey, it's Kaua'i and the sun shines. Make the most of it.

The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was in a great location right next to a small beach. It was our first time to Hawaii but hopefully not the last. We loved the house and would definitely come back. The only thing we wish is that it would have at least had a small window air unit or something to cool down in the evenings. Once the sun went down the temperature dropped and it was cool for the night. Not a huge issue that would keep us from returning.

Our travel party was comprised of 10 local retirees. The property was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans. The appliances were modern, even the washing machine and dryer.The prevailing tradewinds and overhead fans helped keep the house cool.

The space was great for our family of 6 adults and 4 children—including a 10-month-old. There were lots of toys and equipment for the beach, house, and yard and good baby equipment for the 10-month-old (he loved the walker). Fortunately it didn't rain much while we were there, so we were able to eat our dinners at the large table on the deck. We enjoyed being able to easily go back and forth between the house and Baby Beach.

My family and I spent a glorious week in this very well appointed property. Only a 5 min walk to Baby Beach, great for little ones. The amount of amenities provided was outstanding. We hope to be able to return again someday. Kauai is a very beautiful place to visit. A lovely shopping centre was walking distance away. Best ice-cream at Lappert's.

We loved the house and it was perfect for our 3 generation family of 9, 6 adults and 3 children under 5. It was wonderful being so close to a very safe beach and being able to easily walk back and forth with the little ones for lunches and naps. We also appreciated being able to walk to restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped all sizes of pots and pans and every imaginable appliance. We ate outside on the beautiful wrap around porch most every evening. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs, etc. for our time at the beach. The real plus for us with two 2-year olds in our group was all the gear provided for the little ones including pack and plays, plastic dishes and sand toys. It really felt like home and we would love to return someday!

This was a family vacation with three generations and the house worked beautifully. Well equipped kitchen and lots of towels and linens. The clothes washer really needs servicing and we let the owner know as our clothing and towels we washed came out pretty much as we put them in. We'd recommend the house and would stay there again with our family group.

This property was very well maintained and the kitchen well appointed. There were also additional items included to make your stay pleasant. We loved the location as it was close to all the major beaches on the south side with Baby Beach so close we could see it from the end of the driveway. We walked down to that beach each night to watch the breathtaking sunsets. I also appreciated having chairs, umbrellas and boogie and a surf board available for our use. Restaurants and shopping were within a very short walk. The only issue we had was that the heat made it difficult to get to sleep some nights for those staying in the rooms where there were only small windows and no sliding doors. Several additional large fans and/or room air conditioners would be great. I would bring my family back here again. It was a great stay in paradise for all of us!

We had a wonderful stay. The house accommodated our group of seven perfectly. We enjoyed all of the views, the close proximity to the beach, walking accessibility, and restaurants. The place was so well stocked it felt like home. The owner was responsive when we needed some help with the grill's propane. The ocean and beach gear provided was definitely a plus. Great getaway on a beautiful island!

Overall, the home suited our needs. Had plenty of beach gear for our use, as well as a good amount of space for our group of 9. It sleeps 10, but that’s based on each bed and the sleeper sofa sleeping 2 each (aside from the room with the twin beds). The location was perfect…only a short walk to baby beach, and maybe 3-5 mins from Poipu. The home was fairly clean, however, there were items left around from what I assume was the previous renters, such as towels, and some opened food items in the lower level refrigerator, leaving it feeling as if the cleaning was not as thorough as it could have been. Communication with property manager during our stay was challenging, and when attempting to gain clarification on items instructed in manual, the replies were delayed, didn’t happen or were unclear. We attempted to leave things as instructed, however many were not in the locations as noted in the manual

•Located in a beautiful coastline neighborhood, where most of our daily activities were spent. •Property is as pictured, well maintained; lots of room for the 9 of us. •Well stocked, just needed to load up on various sundries and groceries; (10 day stay)…loaded up at Costco in Lihue, cooked most meals (our choice), cleaned and laundered when necessary. •Located w/in 1 mile east/west…of surf beaches, snorkeling, scuba. -Baby Beach is steps away, perfect for the littles, and beginning snorkelers. The house has various sized sets of snorkel gear, fins and water shoes, and beach supplies. -Recommend “Hawaiian Style Surf” lessons for beginners 1 mile east at Kiahuna beach. •Close walking distance to a little outdoor shopping plaza (clothing, souvenirs, art galleries, Long’s Drugstore, Lapperts ice creamery, restaurants/bar). •1.5 miles from Spouting Horn and The McBryde & Allerton Botanical Garden (highly recommend). Home away from home, great place to just chill or return to at the end of our multiple activities throughout the day. We’d definitely stay here again. Mahalo, a hui hou!!

Our extended family had a wonderful stay. The quick walk to baby beach for sunrise and critter sightings, walking or running trail, and close to all other amenities. The home was stocked! We found absolutely everything needed for our beach based week. Nights on the wonderful wrap around porch where many games were played quickly became mandatory.

Shelly Griffin made our stay most memorable. We were able to spend time with family and create very special memories. Love the house and all the amenities. The beach is just minutes away walking. We stayed 3 nights and were gone most of the days. Do to COVID we only used a few items in the house items in the kitchen after we clean them first. This was not to say that they were not clean already, just an extra layer of protection. There was one exception, one of the toilets looked as they had been used and not cleaned very well. The red dirt was evident in the cracks and crevices through the house, but through out the whole island this could be found. This still gets 5 stars overall.

The house was the perfect property for our family! The rooms were spacious, and plenty of open spaces to hang out and have fun with the family. It was well-stocked with the essentials, plus tons of beach towels and other fun stuff for the beach. It's a few steps away from a small, quiet, beautiful beach. And, it's walking or short-drive distance to many good eats. Shelley was a superb host who was very responsive and accommodating. Mahalo Shelley and we look forward to visiting again!

This was the absolute most perfect house for our group of 9 adults!!! Our daughter’s wedding was very close by so this house was a prize location for us.
