About this apartment rental
Elegantly renovated Victorian villa situated on the warm northern slopes of the inner-city suburb of Herne Bay and offering the comforts of home. The property has own separate entrance off sunny front verandah, and is completely self-contained with fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Short walk to Jervois Rd shops, cafes, and link bus to CBD, Ponsonby and Newmarket. A short stroll to lovely Home Bay Beach at the bottom of the road. Westhaven marina is 1k away.
Rates: $225 per night for 2 people using 1 bedroom only
Additional guests up to 4 in total $50 per night per person
Minimum 2 nights.

This property is in a great location, the owner is very responsive, it's clean and tidy and has all the amenities you need for a short or long stay however the beds and pillows need updating, they are uncomfortable. The house is generally very cold, which is probably a good thing in summer but not so comfortable in winter/spring and during the dates of our stay, there was a domestic building site next door that had early starts on three of the five mornings we were there. Not what one needs when trying to rest and recharge on holiday. If the owner had have mentioned that during the booking phase, we would not have booked it.
