The Villa on Anglesea

A very beautiful and comfortable cottage in a great location just off the Ponsonby road ( which has buses going all over Auckland). Multiple dining options a short walk away. Really nice street full of similar cottages. The home has 3 bedrooms with the largest bedroom (master) I have ever stayed in, with a very comfy king bed, great ensuite and walk in robe plus an outside deck to a lovely big garden. Other 2 bedrooms are smaller and on ground level with a queen in one a 2 singles in the other. Great kitchen and laundry. Comfy couch and huge TV. Quiet location in a lovely neighbourhood. Very helpful host too. Easy parking in street ( and the host organises permit with council). The garden would be lovely to sit in if the weather permitted- we visited in winter.

My husband and I stayed at the Villa for three nights at the end of a 3 week trip to NZ. I’d been sick for 2 weeks and this was the perfect comfortable place to stay while still feeling less than 100%. We enjoyed sitting in the sun in the deck, being able to watch TV with the option to sign in to our streaming services, having a bath in the big bathtub and cooking in the spacious kitchen. Being so close to Ponsonby Rd, it was an easy walk to the shops and restaurants. We could catch an Uber to get to other parts of the city easily. Staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely love to stay here again in our next trip.
