The only proposed improvement to the accommodation would be to install a ventilator on the terrace roof. This would enhance air quality during hot evenings and help keep mosquitoes away—an issue that becomes particularly problematic towards the end of July.

Great location, cosy private beach and amazing view.

Host: Maria was an exceptionally kind and responsive host. Communication via Viber was smooth and quick, and we were welcomed with a very generous welcome gift. Location & Beach: Gorgeous scenery with beautiful rocks, olive trees, Mediterranean plants, and fragrant pines. The small private beach for residents is just 100 meters away (right next to the famous Lagonisi beach). The water and beach are beautiful, though we noticed that turístico boats/rental boats often leave small plastic debris in the bay, especially in the evening, which we helped clean out. Amenities: The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need. It features private covered parking, blackout shutters, two high-quality SUP boards, and two new sunbeds with an umbrella for the beach. Comfort & AC: There are two AC units with ceiling fans in the bedrooms, and a portable battery fan in the living area (very useful for the balcony!). The apartment is generally very quiet and peaceful. Balcony: The long balcony benefits from a daily breeze, making it perfect for lounging on the sunbed and sitting outside even during the day without AC.

What could be improved Humid Smell & Water: As we were the first guests of the season after winter, there was a noticeable humid/musty odor in the apartment. During our stay, there was also an unfortunate regional water issue that affected the area. However, Maria was extremely cooperative and responsible—she addressed the issue immediately upon request and arranged a partial refund through Booking. Bathroom & Mosquitoes: The bathroom with teh toilet is very small (around 2 m2) and the shower drain doesn't flow well, causing minor flooding. It also became a gathering spot for mosquitoes. The nearby neighbors frequently water their potted plants right outside our door, leaving standing water in the saucers, which serves as a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Since the balcony and main bedroom doors lack mosquito nets, and we had to ventilate the apartment frequently due to the humid smell, we ended up with many mosquito bites at night. Suggestions for the host: To make the apartment more comfortable and modern, I highly recommend installing mosquito nets on the balcony and bedroom doors. Replacing the old, dark indoor furniture with new, lighter pieces (made from non-toxic materials) would make the living space feel much brighter, more spacious, and pleasant. The outdoor furniture (table, chairs, bench) and the balcony tile edges could also use a little refreshing. Additionally, installing water filters would be a fantastic upgrade: a filter for the shower, another one for the kitchen faucet to wash food and dishes, and a separate reverse-osmosis filter with its own small faucet for safe drinking water. This would allow guests to safely drink tap water without buying plastic bottles, which heavily burden the environment and expose humans and all organisms to toxic microplastics/nanoplastics which are known hormone and endocrine disruptors.
