About this house rental

CHARMING CENTRAL ST IVES COTTAGE WITH ALLOCATED PARKING

Rose Cottage is professionally marketed and managed by Orange Roofs, a local St Ives holiday rental agency.

Rose Cottage is a wonderfully cosy and characterful St Ives retreat offering guests the chance to experience the very best of the town — from beach mornings and harbour strolls to relaxed evenings tucked away in the heart of Downalong.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE BOOKING:

Rose Cottage is located within the traffic-free heart of St Ives, just off The Digey, so there will naturally be some nearby footfall.

An allocated parking space for one car is provided on Beach Road, approximately a 5–8 minute walk away.

The cottage is arranged across four floors with internal steps and traditional cottage staircases.

The duvets provided are feather and there are no synthetic alternatives available

A PEACEFUL HIDEAWAY IN THE HEART OF ST IVES

Tucked quietly away on charming Rose Lane, Rose Cottage offers the rare balance of being right in the centre of St Ives whilst still feeling wonderfully peaceful and tucked away.

Just 25 metres from Fore Street, guests are moments from independent shops, galleries, cafés, beaches and restaurants, yet the cottage itself enjoys a calm and relaxing atmosphere ideal for switching off from busy everyday life.

Beautifully styled throughout with carefully chosen artwork and thoughtful furnishings, Rose Cottage has been designed to feel cosy, welcoming and restful whilst still retaining its authentic Cornish cottage charm.

RELAXED LIVING SPACES FULL OF CHARACTER

Entering via Rose Lane, a couple of internal steps lead you up into the comfortable first-floor living room where stylish sofas, warm décor and soft lighting immediately invite you to settle in and relax.

Guests can enjoy:

Smart TV
Blu Ray DVD player
Books and games for cosy evenings indoors

A second entrance accessed via an alleyway off Fore Street is especially useful after beach days. Beside this entrance is a handy outdoor shower with hot water — perfect for rinsing sandy feet, wetsuits and salty hair before heading inside. There is also a small outdoor drying area for wetsuits and beachwear.

A WELL-EQUIPPED KITCHEN FOR EASY SELF-CATERING

The lower-ground-floor kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for relaxed family stays and self-catering holidays.

Features include:

Dishwasher
Washer/dryer
Fridge-freezer
Oven and hob
Microwave and toaster
Coffee machine
Dining table seating up to 6 guests

Whether picking up pastries from nearby bakeries, preparing fresh seafood suppers or enjoying slow breakfasts before the beach, the cottage is wonderfully equipped for easy holiday living.

TWO BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED BEDROOMS

On the second floor you’ll find the spacious master bedroom and family bathroom.

The master bedroom features:

King-size bed
Original stripped wooden floorboards
Wardrobe and chest of drawers
TV with Blu Ray DVD player

The family bathroom includes:

Freestanding slipper bath
Large rainfall shower
WC and wash basin

Please note that the bedding and duvets at Rose Cottage are feather-filled and no alternatives are available.

On the top floor is the charming twin bedroom with rooftop glimpses towards the harbour, hanging space and its own TV with Blu Ray DVD player.

PERFECTLY POSITIONED FOR BEACH DAYS

Rose Cottage places you within easy walking distance of all five of St Ives’ beaches.

Nearby highlights include:

Porthmeor Beach — famous for surfing, sunsets and beachside dining
Porthgwidden Beach
St Ives Harbour Beach

The beaches are ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkelling, with restaurants, takeaways and facilities all close at hand.

CAFÉS, DELIS & LOCAL FAVOURITES ON YOUR DOORSTEP

Steps from a great bakery and the water in both directions. Might be a little tricky for tots and elderly to navigate the stairs, but comfortable overall.

The property was a good standard in a good location. The biggest problem we faced was with the ‘nearby car parking’ quoted on the listing, in reality the car parking was at least 1/2 mile from the cottage which created severe problems when arriving in heavy rain with my wife and I with two grandchildren in tow complete with cases of luggage + food for a week + children’s toys etc. if we had known how far the car parking was away from this cottage we would not have booked it.
