The downstairs garage area is such a bonus...the ping-pong table was a hit with our teenage boys! The beach cruisers were so great to ride all around town.The house has everything you need for the beach....a wagon, beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie/skim/surf boards, etc. The house itself is clean, has stylish decor and a great open kitchen/family room with beautiful views. One thing to note, the King bed is not in the master bedroom. The master bedroom (which has a bigger closet and it’s own private bathroom) has a queen bed. The two other bedrooms share the hall bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has a King bed. Not a deal breaker, but good info to know.

The place was spotless upon arrival. The location was directly across from the beach. The place was stocked with beach chairs, cooler, bikes and surf boards. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. I can’t say enough good things about our stay.

Very few times is a place actually better than the photos, but this one is. Everything was spotless when we arrived. The furniture is comfortable and well laid out. Having a washer and dryer made everything so easy. And the hosts have fully stocked the garage with everything you need for the beach: chairs, umbrellas, boards. Communication with the property manager was superb. He even helped me deal with a non-property-related problem. I would highly recommend this house to my friends.

This was a great place for my family. Everything was new and super nice! I would highly recommend it if you want to be in Hanalei and close to the town and beach. We had everything we needed for cooking which came in handy for our toddler. The space has been very well thought out and you are provided with plenty of beach beach gear! 5 stars all the way!

Beautiful 3 bed 2 bath ADU with all of the necessary beach gear (e.g., chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, etc). What we loved most about the stay is the proximity to the beach and to down town Hanalei. This made it perfect for a choose your own adventure each day. The views from the porch were spectacular as well.

This rental was great. We loved our stay here. The location couldn't of been more perfect, so close to everything...the beach and the town. Very comfortable beds, really well stocked with everything you need plus bonus things you didn't know you needed...ping pong table. This was the best vacation to Kauai we ever had, we will be back.

This is the 5th house we’ve rented in Hanalei Bay, and by far our favorite. The location is perfect. A few minutes walk to the beach, and a few minutes to town. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious. We biked, boarded, and in our down time had ping pong tournaments! Hanalei Bay is our favorite vacation spot, and the rental made us feel like we were home. The only thing that could have made it better is if we stayed longer! Mahalo for sharing your special property.

We had a lovely time and found the house perfectly suited for both adults and kids. Well-stocked kitchen with new appliances, lots of beach toys—we wanted for nothing! Perfect location with a beautiful view, and easy walk to restaurants, shops etc.

Our family stayed here and had a great time. The rental was great. My kids are 12 and 9 and loved surfing here. If you come in February just remember to be patient with dinner plans. Not a ton of places to eat in hanalei bay.

Our family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens) had a wonderful week on the North shore. The home is well equipped with everything you could need for a great time at the beach, and we enjoyed the game room with several intense ping pong tournaments. The deck is small, but you can see the ocean and mountains from with both sunrise and sunset views - hard to beat!

We loved our stay! The location is amazing, across the street from the beautiful bay and a block from town. We enjoyed the hot tub after using the surf boards and boogie boards. We played ping pong and were so happy to have the bikes to cruise around. If I could make one wish it would be for the stairs to open up to an outdoor deck/lanai to relax more outside, but otherwise this place is perfection!

Camp Magic 1 was magical! Frist of all, the town of Hanalei is the coolest ever!! Just so chill and relaxed. True Hawaii. And then, the house was the icing on the cake and extra cherries on top! Just perfect in every way. It was comfortable, the beds were yummy, the view was spectacular, and the location....can we talk!!! We rode the provided bikes more than using our car. So convenient to get around, and we would be on the beach in a few minutes. For sure, we will stay here again. Hate to even give it a great review bc I don't wanna lose this best kept secret!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were looking for a staycation that felt like we "got away" but with the comforts of "home" and we definitely found it and then some! Just a few moments from Hanalei Bay and Hanalei Town, we enjoyed every minute of it. The bikes and game room were lots of fun, and the jacuzzi was amazing under the Hanalei sky or for a quick dip after a swim in the bay. The outside shower was also a plus. It has all the amenities in the living spaces as well, especially the kitchen! We look forward to another opportunity to experience the MAGIC again in the future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was supposed to be a very special trip for our two families. We were taking our 4 year old son and his 3 year old best friend (plus dad, mom, and sister) on their first trip! Hawaii announced its first confirmed Covid-19 cases a week before we departed. We were scared and decided we shouldn't risk our health and safety. I put in requests to Prop Mgr Kahea via voicemail, email, and text to please allow us to cancel. She replied via text declining a refund. I then asked if she would at least honor what I heard other companies were offering - to reschedule in the next 12 months at 75% credit towards rebooking – she again said No.
In hindsight, no vacation is worth your health, but knowing we were going to lose our money, we went on the trip. We'd make the best of the situation for the kids, wear masks while traveling, not dine out, stay away from crowds... Traveling through the airport was nerve wracking, and we nearly went home while waiting to catch our flight.
We checked in on Sun 4pm, then spent the rest of the eve at the beach. That night the weather turned and a storm rolled in. The next day during a break in the rain, we took the kids for shave ice. Long story short, there is only one road into the town, and when the river rose, the County shut the road – for 32 hours! On Monday night after waiting six hours, we finally gave up and the 2 moms and 3 kids caught a flight back to Oahu. Since all our belongings were still in the house, the 2 dads stayed behind waiting for the road to open.
The communication with this company has been horrible. Just today, Fri, they replied to my request for a partial refund. This has been one of the worst experiences. We lost a lot of money, precious time, and added stress for everyone, because they valued profits over people. I do want to say that Tanya, the home mgr was wonderful, understanding, and offered to help us in any way. Hawaii Life should have done the right thing and allowed us to cancel

VRBO President Jeff Hurst also sent out an email stating property managers should issue full refunds for cancellations re: coronavirus. I then put in requests to Hawaii Life Manager Kahea via voicemail, email, and text to please allow us to cancel. She did not return my phone call, but did reply via text declining a refund. I then asked if she would at least honor what I heard other companies were offering - to reschedule in the next 12 months at 75% credit towards rebooking – she again said No. We are two hard-working local families and had saved up for this special trip. The owners provided everything we wanted to make our stay so special. We loved biking to the main street for groceries, dinner or shopping. Everything was provided for a great day at the beach--chairs, umbrellas, towels, a cooler, boogie boards and surfboards. The owners even provided a wagon to carry it all in and it was a short walk to the beach access. The house was a great location, too. The folks a Hawaii Life helped us arrange for an in-house massage that was excellent. The whole experience was our idea of a perfect vacation and we had such a great time. I highly recommend this house.

Awesome location

This is a nice property for family and friends. Walking distance to beach and surfing in the bay as well as the town. Bikes are supplied as well as beach toys, boogie boards, and wave storm surfboards. We could see the bay while in the kitchen and living space. Downstairs garage opens up and has great entertainment space for family fun. We would be happy to return.
