Incredible quiet, peaceful and cozy stay with gorgeous views and easy stair access to private Westside cove. We enjoyed seeing various shore birds, herons, eagles and daily visits of momma dear and her 2 baby fawns. The cabin is immaculate! Everything you would need is provided. Enjoyed the cozy wood stove. And, the wall of windows has incredible lighting and views! Checkin and out process was very clear and easy and the hosts are very responsive. This was such a wonderful place! The view alone made it all worth it! Sitting out on the deck or down on the beach was so relaxing- and even saw some otters at sunset! The house itself was also very welcoming and cozy. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay. The location was great as well- you had the experience of being secluded while still being just a few minutes from all the things the island has to offer. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is our 3rd time at this property. We have rented a kayak from a local business and this allows us to launch from the cove at our convenience - when the tide and weather are conducive. We love the house. the kayaking was awesome. No whales but a lot of seals, birds, and fantastic views. Thanks!

This was a perfect spot to relax for a few days with my husband. The house seems brand new and the layout is efficient with everything you need. The view and beach are absolutely beautiful. We saw lots of wild life and went paddle boarding. Easy access by car to the whole island. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Our stay at the cottage was perfect. The views are amazing and it was just perfect sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean, or inside looking out through the wall of windows. The home is exactly as pictured. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and there were kitchen, bath, and other supplies for anything we could have thought of. Communication beforehand was excellent. Our tweens slept on the pull out couch, which they said was very comfortable. Plenty of extra bedding and pillows. It made our time on San Juan Island just perfect!

The absolute perfect location if you want a quiet and relaxing home base to branch out to all other locations on the island. Everything inside the house was modern and clean. The highlight was the view from the living room. We did not turn on the TV once during our stay. We didn't need to because we had the best show right through the back windows. Numerous bald eagles and deer, and we loved just watching the tide go in and out of the private cove below. For you whale fans, I recommend joining a Facebook page "Whale Sightings in the San Juan Islands." You will get updates of any whales in the area, and the direction they are going. We were able to use the information and see a pod of orca's swim right by the Cattle Point Lighthouse! If you want the perfect launching pad for all that San Juan Island has to offer, this is the spot. Just book it.

The cottage was very clean and looked newly redone. The kitchen had everything we needed to have meals there. The view was amazing and it was so quiet we slept really well. We’d definitely book here again and recommend it. It’s about a 15 minute drive to town so need a car but was an easy drive.

Wonderful stay on San Juan Island. The property is quite special in many ways. This was our base camp for outings throughout 8 days. The cabin is well equipped and very comfortable. Modern design and amenities. The view of the cove and Haro Strait is stunning. Lots of kayaking right from the beach into nearby waterways. Access, communication, and overall experience was excellent— highly recommend Therese and Steve’s place, you will not be disappointed!

We had a lovely time in this sweet little cottage. The nearly private little cove was gorgeous and filled with wildlife and it was wonderful to go down and watch the sun set in the evenings. The house itself was equipped with just about anything I could imagine needing and had a better prepared kitchen for cooking than many rentals I've stayed at. It was a short hop into downtown Friday Harbor and even quicker to get to Lime Kiln park and other wonderful hiking and viewing locations. We had a wonderful time and hope to get back there during orca season sometime!

We were so happy to be back and were blessed by seeing orcas right from our windows/in front of the house passing by, porpoising, spyhopping and a couple of tail slaps! A beautiful bald eagle rested in the tree-top for over two hours! The weather was just lovely and we enjoyed spending time out on the deck in the sunshine, barbquing 2 nights and just enjoying watching all the bird/orca activity! It's so nice being on the westside and so close to Lime Kiln...Another day of orca activity there as well :) Thank you for sharing your beautiful piece of pardise with us once again...We look forward to returning next year! Wow. The pictures absolutely don’t do this place justice. We were able to watch a whole pod of whales swim by from the bay window which made this place even more magical. It’s quiet and quaint. Lots of supplies to use in the kitchen. Nice washer and dryer in the bathroom. The bed is definitely soft so if you’re someone who is sensitive to that after a night or two, heads up. A true delight of a place that was easy to get to and also easy to get to other places on the island and a perfect place to relax in San Juan Island. Also they have a pair of excellent binoculars!

This was our second stay at the cottage and like the first, it did not disappoint. Everything about the locale and living space is top-shelf. Highly recommend this property! We are active folk who enjoyed lovely kayak paddles and time out in our inflatable. Easy entry/exit for both types of watercraft. Biking and hiking available, too. The cabin itself couldn’t be better or more tastefully furnished. May your stay here be as delightful as ours was!!!

The cabin was spectacular. The views from the living room, kitchen and patio were beautiful and peaceful. It has everything one could ever need to enjoy this special place. It is just a 15 minute ride into town but in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. It is as immaculate as described from previous guests. We spent many mornings and afternoons on the patio chairs sipping all types of beverages…There were even a few foxes that passed by! The communication with the host was excellent. Do not hesitate to book this cabin. It is a special place. Thanks Steve & Therese!
