About this house rental
This two-bedroom cottage is just a mile from the town of Friday Harbor but offers a perfect way to get away from it all with a lush back yard that looks out over the ocean with incredible views of Jackson Beach.
San Juan Island is famous for its beaches, and at low tide you can step off the sea wall on the property and walk across to explore to your heart's content.
When you're done with your day, the sound of gently running water outside will lull you to sleep.
Fiber internet connection allows your whole family to work or remote school.
Constructed in 2018, the house is a cozy 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and a high end custom queen wall bed to the side of the living room. Full kitchen, washer, dryer and Internet access are all provided.
The jewel of the space is the views from the living area and bedrooms across Jackson Beach to the south. They're unobstructed and unforgettable.
You'll be located on one of the only saltwater rivers in the western United States, a fascinating natural oddity where fresh water melds with salt and then flows back with the tides.
The house also contains a display of tools and arrowheads found at the nearby archaeological site dating from 2,500 to 5,000 years old.
Other property owners have access to a nearby common areas but the guest yard and beach access is completely private.
I am happy to be available if you have any needs regarding the space, but otherwise you'll be left to your privacy.
Pets are welcome with the following policy:
1. Pets must be in control on the property and stay within the property lines (yard is not enclosed)
2. Pets must do no damage to the house.
3. Pets are not allowed to sleep on the beds as it is often very difficult to ensure every hair is removed.
4. All dog poop must be picked up from the yard, bags are supplied in the dispenser on the back deck.
There is one security camera on the property that covers the parking area and walkway to the front door.

I walked into the house and gasped, WOW. When the tide is in it's almost like you're on a boat. And it just got better from there. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable sectional for both of us to stretch out and great beds. There was a huge map so you could appreciate where you are in the scheme of things. Hooks by the front door—thoughtful. Nigel was super responsive. Thumbs up on this house. Will be back.

Walking into the house, it was exactly as it is posted, but of course better in person! The setup was perfect for my family. The view was absolutely amazing! We had a couple of days of sun and one with rain, and we enjoyed all the weather changes from the house. The host was very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

The property is everything it is advertised to be...and more! The waterfront house is immaculate, comfortable, and extremely well-stocked with kitchenware, cookware, and anything necessary for cooking. The view is spectacular and peaceful which describes our week's stay. Nigel, the host, is easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions or needs. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay (with a wonderful view).
