About this house rental
This modern lakefront home is excellent for family gatherings, bachelor / bachelorette parties, or spontaneous gateways for friends looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Grand Traverse County in Northern Michigan.
Experience the panoramic clear water view and Instagram worthy moments that Green Lake has to offer. The lake is fantastic for taking a swim during a beautiful spring/summer day, catching stunning sunsets while enjoying a barbeque with friends, fishing, or partaking in the numerous water sports/activities of your choosing! The following outdoor amenities will be provided for you to breathe in the lake experience:
- Outdoor patio furniture with a charcoal/gas grill.
- One Kayaks, 2 Paddle Boards, and Life Vests.
- Basketball hoop to challenge your friends to a game of HORSE and unleash your inner Kobe Bryant.
You’ll enjoy walking into this private two story five bedroom home. With all its amenities, you’ll automatically feel right at home. The house is fully air-conditioned with high-speed WIFI, fresh linens, towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo provided.

Walk into the expansive/open living room with large panoramic windows that look out to an outdoor patio and view of Green Lake. It features:
- 52” flat screen TV with a Spectrum cable package (all necessary sports channels included) and HBO.
- Amazon Echo Bluetooth Speaker allowing you to share your Summer playlist and favorite songs.
- A Variety of Board Games (i.e., Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk, etc.)
Kitchen & Dining
The living room opens up into the gourmet kitchen and dining area, where you can enjoy a quiet dinner cooked at home or delivered from one of our many famous neighborhood restaurants. The kitchen and dining area feature:
- Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals at home cookware, tableware, and utensils are included.
- Dining table with seating for 8 people
- Keurig Coffee Maker & 2 Coffee Pots
Bedrooms/Bathrooms
After a day soaking up the sun on the water and exploring Traverse City, soak in the bathtub fall asleep in one of the many comfortable bedrooms within the home. Clean sheets, blankets, and towels will be provided before arrival. The home is thoroughly cleaned by an experienced vacation rental cleaning crew after every check-out; you can expect to find a spotless home on your arrival.

The house was well equipped. We had 5 adults and 5 kids.
The sleeping arrangements worked well for us. The house and property were as presented on line. We had a wonderful time and would stay again in the future. Tom Davison

We had a family vacation here with my siblings and their families and my parents - 11 people. There was plenty of space for all! It was very clean as well. We had a great time and would highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I came up here with two other couples for a relatively COVID-safe vacation. We had a great time. The house is very close to the Interlochen Arts school / camp, which was closed for the pandemic at the time. That made the area around the house very quiet and low key (I imagine in non-pandemic times the area is more busy and full of teenagers though). I’m used to the lakes up in Wisconsin (Lake Geneva, Lauderdale Lakes, etc.), and this lake is much quieter than those, with fewer boats. May have just been the pandemic / time of year, but even when we went out on the weekend in late August, there were only maybe 3 other boats and a few jet skiers. I found it more relaxing and enjoyable to be out on the water that way. We were able to rent a pontoon boat a for a few days. The service dropped it off at a nearby boat launch and we just drove over to pick it up. Would recommend that. Especially because you can’t really effectively swim off the pier—the lake around the house itself is quite shallow. The local grocery store was close and well-stocked. There are a few decent takeout spots. It’s not a bad drive to Traverse, where there are more restaurants.The house itself is in pretty good shape, and comfortable. Beds cozy, very well stocked with towels (including beach towels). The kitchen has all the essentials. We were able to cook a pretty elaborate four course meal without running into issues. There is one thing we had to work around, which the owners cannot control so I don’t consider it a “ding,” but that future renters may want to know: the tap water does not taste good. It’s very metallic. So plan to bring jugs / bottles of water, especially if you plan to be cooking things like rice or pasta. There’s a good size yard off to the side, which was great for outdoor games. Plenty of room for cornhole and spike ball. Overall a great spot at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
