The crystal clear waters of Crystal Lake or Lake Michigan are less than 15 min away, and perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking, and swimming. The Betsie River is less than a 1/2 mile away for some of the best fishing in the country. Scenic M-22 will take you to the wineries, restaurants, and rural beauty of Leelanau County or check out the shopping, dining, art scene, or festivals of downtown Traverse City just a 30 min drive away. The house had potential and worked well in terms of size and layout for our group. It’s in a convenient location and had a few nice features that we appreciated, like overall space, firepit out back was nice and the resort.That said, there were a few things that made the stay less enjoyable. The overall cleanliness of the home could definitely be improved—there were areas that felt like they hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. The Wi-Fi was very slow, which made it tough for anyone trying to stream, work, or stay connected. On top of that, the air conditioning was spotty and inconsistent, which made parts of the house uncomfortable, especially during warmer times of the day.
