Happy stay at Hazeldene Cottage. Julie is a wonderful host.

Hosts were very friendly and allowed us to use produce from the owners veg/fruit garden was great.

The mattress in the second bedroom was uncomfortable and generally only suitable for children. Wash basin in en-suite is very small. No real private space in the garden.

My friend and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage with a most delightful host.

I loved the location, it was so quiet, it was near places of interest with good walking too. The house was ideal and very comfortable our host and her family were most helpful and very pleasant.

There was no cafetiere to make coffee nor any tea pot.

we’ll equipped kitchen, child-friendly with lots of toys for them to play with, good location

Covid check-in and check-out times weren’t ideal with kids, I hadn’t noticed when I booked (my own fault)

Perfect accommodation and location just right for us.

Everything, location was just right for us not too far from town, accommodation was perfect, loved having plenty of space and really well equipped kitchen. Lovely hosts made us very welcome, gave us lots of help choosing from local restaurants

Lovely, well equipped house in an attractive location

The house is spacious, with a fairly large with a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with two comfortable sofas and a good sized main bedroom as well as a second bedroom. The house seems to have been modernised quite recently and everything done to a high standard. There is a very effective shower in the ensuite as well as bath in the main bathroom. The location is peaceful with no traffic noise as the property is on a quiet lane. It is located about a mile and a half from the centre of Holmfirth, a prosperous small town with a surprising number of good restaurants and shops. The hosts, Julie and Mark, were welcoming and friendly, providing us with a number of useful ideas for local walks, local restaurants and trips further afield. We found this to be a great centre for exploring the western side of West Yorkshire, as it is close to the Yorkshire sculpture park and beautiful moorland walks amongst forested reservoirs.

What could be improved on is: The mattress on the bottom bunk was too thin Had to double it up with the top bunk and Would be useful to have manuals for use of tv, oven etc, even though the hosts would have helped.
