Because they had no cooking facilities, there was an air fryer. This was really useful, in fact more useful than an oven. We also very much appreciated the washing machine and dryer. It’s rare to find a dryer.
As the nearest supermarket is a little way from the house, the hosts provide Breakfast cereal and bread and jam. Everything you would want.
The flat was very spacious and well laid out.
We hadn’t realised there were so many steps up to the front door. There were photos of the front but it didn’t register until we got there.
Only difficult for us as we have a few mobility problems. However, it wouldn’t stop us staying there again.

The beds were super comfy, with a lovely warm duvet that didn't pin you to the bed. Good blackout curtains in my room. Own front door to the apartment. Lovely seaside scheme inside. Very clean, soft towels and toiletries in the bathroom. The two bedrooms are diagonally opposite on either side of the hallway, which was good for undisturbed sleep. Choice of bath and separate shower. The breakfast food, tea, coffee and fresh milk were appreciated. As were the selection of games. It was situated in a very quiet location :-)
The steps up to the front door, but I knew they were there and braced myself, (had seen them in the photos). My daughter didn't like the spider, but we put it out the front door. Also forgot to tell my daughter to only bring microwave evening meal as only a kitchenette.

The owner was lovely, place was just why we needed, breakfast, milk and bread were already there on arrival which I thought was lovely

Parking, large bathroom and excellent offer of essentials like milk butter tea coffee cereals etc plus all the games and the warm welcome.
The shower heads were not working so used my spare that I always carry with me (left it there for the next visitors) lack of hooks for towels and coats in bedrooms or bathroom, a mirror I front of the hand basin as difficult for men when shaving. A tea towel would be a nice touch. And a curtain in twin room as was very bright when the sun rises.

Lovely location and hosts were lovely too.
Duvets were very thin.

The location was in a quaint village with a beautiful church. Nearby Pub (The River Arms) which we were able to walk to which also served food in the evening.
Great location for the Tank Festival which is why we were away for the weekend.
No option of bread types, only white was offered.

Didn't expect breakfast items so the supply of cereals and bread and juice was a pleasant and acceptable surprise. Location was ideal and extremely pleasant.
Found the steps a bit challenging as I have poor mobility but it didn't mar the comfort and enjoyment of our stay at this property.

Although the location was VERY out of the way (lots of winding country roads, often having to pull aside to let tractors by and such), the village of Cheselbourne was very idyllic and picturesque. The accommodation was quaint and cute and it was nice to have essentially your own apartment. Was happy to see there was Crunchy Nut (my favourite) in the cupboard for breakfast, and some orange juice, milk, and a small assortment of breads and jams in the fridge. The bed was massive for a double and the bedding was lovely and soft, it's clear the hosts went out of their way to make the place feel as homely as possible. The bathroom was big and had two entrances, good amount of soft towels and toiletries.
My main gripe (and basically the only one) was that there was no way to control the heating. At night I found the radiators were kicking out a low level of heat, enough to keep a room vaguely warm, but throughout the day it was completely off and I ended up catching a cold by midday after my first night there. The hosts asked me to message them if ever I needed anything or had any questions, and honestly, they were lovely and helpful and receptive from the beginning, but when I asked about the heating I got no reply. I was lucky that I was able to go to my partner's house in Weymouth to warm up because it was so cold in the apartment. I understand that there's a cost of living crisis going on and heating is very expensive, and again, the hosts were perfectly hospitable whenever I spoke to them so I don't at all feel good writing this, but it just felt dreadful sitting in the living room of the accommodation having to wear my coat and wrap a duvet around me to keep even some semblance of warm. I understand that there was the option to ring them, but as I'm autistic I find phone calls quite unnerving, and hoped that messaging would have been enough to warrant a response, as had been the case previously.

Lovely quiet village, very cosy and welcoming and everything that was needed in the property was there. Great for a small families that want a little Getaway with lots of things to do around locally. Couldn't fault our stay one bit.
Should of booked for longer:)

Very helpful hosts, spacious accommodation. Breakfast provided was great. Everything very clean. Beautiful rural area

The location was beautiful, as was the accomodation.
Made to feel an inconvenience, and a bit rubbish to be honest, when arriving late after a long 3 1/2 hour drive on my own with my lad in the dark, when I couldn't really have arrived any earlier, as I couldn't set off before school finish.
Might have been better, to allow us to enter the property independently. I appreciate the owner greeting us in person, but she exuded a bit of grumpiness at our arrival time, which made me feel a bit depressed to be honest! I can't often afford time and money, to drive down to see my mother and family in Dorchester.
The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, and the energy and skill in creating a homely environment cannot be faulted. Apologies if my candid feedback is uncomfortable to hear, but I felt I needed to say it.

Good choice of breakfast cereals etc., bread & butter, choice of jams, marmalade, fruit juice, milk. Accommodation was first class for comfort and cleanliness. Great to have off road parking so close. Hosts were very friendly and attentive. PDF detail provided by Jeremy was perfect. Loved the quiet, rural location.
There is nothing in my opinion to dislike.

Everything was as expected. Nice location out in the country in a small village.
The pub was closed on Monday's & Tuesday's which as it happened was the nights we stayed. However there was a nice pub in Cerne Abbis which is not too far away.

The breakfast items in the kitchen and fridge were very helpful. Very comfortable spacious accommodation with neat suitable decoration. Visitor attraction leaflets available to help plan your days. Great views from windows.
Nothing springs to mind.

The accommodation was lovely and we had a really warm welcome from the host. The information we received beforehand was excellent. There's lots to do in the area and we had a very relaxing break.

Fantastic accommodation for the price! Comfortable beds in two separate bedrooms, cosy sitting room/diner with TV and good wifi, excellent bathroom with bath and shower, and functional kitchenette (but do plan for microwave cooking only, as described). My brother and I were both able to park our cars off road, on arrangement with our hosts. We didn't meet our hosts but everything worked smoothly via text and email, with instructions on keys etc arriving in good time beforehand. The pub just up the road is an easy walk (take a torch!) and was welcoming with a good choice of meals on the specials board. Cheselbourne is 20 mins from Dorchester, 30 mins from Weymouth, and Portland beyond where we were visiting, but worth the extra drive for its value for money and 10 mins walk to the village pub.

Great location for access around the Dorset coast. Really nice, comfortable apartment with friendly hosts and a very welcome surprise of breakfast supplies. The local pub served delicious food and was within easy walking distance (though bring a torch if you plan on walking).

Overall, we loved the rental! Marilyn and Jeremy were very nice, and the place was very clean. The beds were comfortable, the storage area in the main bedroom was large (with enough hangers!), the kitchen was well stocked and the location was beautiful and perfect for our needs. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.
Lounge was small, the sofa was uncomfortable and the only other seating in the room were dining room chairs. (To be fair about the couch, I have rarely stayed in any short term rental that had a comfortable sofa!) The shower cubicle is very small, and the towels could be more absorbent.

Did not expect a breakfast so that was a bonue
Microwave could have doubled up as an oven as we're looking to cook a pie one of the nights

Decent sized bathroom. Good shower and double bedroom a good size. Also the provision of breakfast items was appreciated.
Never saw the owners. Nobody bothered to check if everything was ok. Some light switches were in inconvenient places. And the bathroom mirror is not near the sink making shaving awkward.

Spacious, clean and as described. Excellent hosts who were responsive and friendly.

absolutely loved the apartment, spotlessly clean, lots of room and very peaceful setting. A fantastic find and the photos on Booking.com do not do it justice. The only downside for us, was that the sofa is too low . We are disabled and so could not sit on it , however, we managed and its not a fault on the owners at all. It is because we have disabilities, anyone else would be fine. Our whole stay was amazingly peaceful and I would recommend it as a top 10 holiday stay.
The owners do not bother you unless needed, there was plenty of milk, butter , bread, juice, water etc, and you could ask for more if needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay. X
