Lovey cozy cottage

The property was beautiful and in a great location. It was silent, with wonderful walks available. The cottage was comfortable and wonderfully warm and there was a log fire with plenty of logs to burn, as well as simple instructions on how to light it. The fire aside, every room had at least one radiator so it was warm and very cozy which was perfect for a chilly January.

The only thing that could be improved was the duvets on the single beds - they were too small. We were a group of 4, two couples, so one couple had single beds. That was fine, but they didn't quite reach the end of the bed so we had to put extra blankets over our feet. However, that aside, we loved our stay and would definitely return - maybe put the shorter couple in the single beds

Absolutely perfect for our family requirements and the weekend intentions.

Very comfortable and peaceful stay in rural Dorset

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location surrounded by rolling green countryside. Rooms are spacious and facilities are all you need. Hosts live next door if needed but didn’t really see them. The weather was freezing but the cottage was very cosy and warm inside. It’s also very clean. Would definitely stay there again as I was visiting parents in Sherborne.

Exceptional

It's a lovely, well equipped property in a beautiful location. As well as the historical and other sites of interest locally, there are very enjoyable walks in the area of the property too. Lots of information leaflets are provided and there is alo a great library and dvd player with films for rainy days (of which there were none).

Perfect cottage in the countryside!

The setting is beautiful. The cottage was just what we were after. Beds were comfy and facilities good.

Due to the age of the cottage, the staircase is incredibly creeky!! So you couldn't help but make a noise using the stairs. The shower needs a bigger head on it!

Exceptional

Beautiful comfy cottage in peaceful surroundings, well equipped and perfectly decorated and furnished. Felt instantly at home with a thoughtful welcome basket and tea and coffee provisions. Great location for nearby village facilities at Milborne Port, and Sherborne is just a short drive for the Abbey and interesting shops. Look forward to staying again!

A very cosy cottage

A very clean and tastefully decorated cottage. The welcome hamper was a.thoughtful addition as well as the log stove primed and ready to go.

Nothing comes to mind in respect of the cottage. The cottage is very rural down some narrow and muddy lanes so I was pleased we were in an SUV

Very comfortable and pretty cottage in a great area for exploring.

We loved the house and the setting, everything was very comfortable and very clean! We appreciated our warm and friendly welcome too.

We would’ve liked a small amount of milk for making tea when we arrived.
