Hotel Bären Guttannen

Traditional Swiss hotel in fantastic location, clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. Good price for the location.

A few issues. We knew the room had a shared loo, but one loo between 16 rooms was a bit of a stretch and no loo roll in the morning !?! This should still be a civilised situation ! There must be a better way of doing this - Oh yes, two toilets (male & female) and a supply of loo roll !!! Be aware that rooms 20+ are directly above the bar and even the quietest music and chatter travels straight through the beams and into the room at midnight !

Skiing lodge feel with good restaurant and safe parking.

Room was basic share ski style.

The location is lovely, only the staff were lovelier :) Really liked to stay there. The hotel is is pet friendly, it was important to us.

A refrigerator would have be nice in the room.

The hotel rooms we stayed in were in the 'conference section' and more functional than aesthetic. We had an evening meal and breakfast at this hotel, both were pretty average to uninspired.

Rooms were clinical, down to timed lighting and white drabness. My daughters room had a left over sanitary towel in the bin from a previous guest. Staff were advised about this at checkout and a simple sorry about that given. My daughter was more shocked at finding that than the staff appeared to be when told about it.
