AMAZING find

Literally everything. Host Red and his family are AMAZING. The location is great, wonderful area up the hills and close to everything. The food they serve is amazing, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. If you're looking for a stay in Koh Lanta, don't look any further. The pictures don't do justice to how amazing this stay is. The cats are cute, there are beautiful fish, the airco. works amazing, the beds are comfy. Red arranges everything you need. From scooters to transfers to activities. The place feels so serene and peaceful. I'm giving a 10 because an 11 isn't possible. Red, thank you for the stay

Best place to stay in Ko Lanta

Loved the Lazy Lodge. It oozed beachside charm, while being very laid back and relaxing. We had one of the beachside cabins which was spacious, well appointed and very tastefully decorated. Loved the privacy, while still being able to lie in bed and enjoy the view. The restaurant and bar were fabulous (best restaurant on the beach), the garden was heavenly and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Paradise on earth!

Our stay at the Lazy Lodge exceeded our expectations and was the cherry on top of our Thailand trip. The vibe is phenomenal, relaxing, classy and laid back all at once. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. This is true hospitality where your needs are often anticipated. The restaurant is so fantastic we never ate anywhere else (must try chef’s recommendations and massaman curry!) as we worked our way through almost every dish during our 5 night stay. Dreaming of returning!

Right on the beach with nice loungers and service. Staff arranged rides for us to various restaurants and beaches.

Our bungalow was next to the public restroom so not pleasant to sit on our patio. A nearby bar had loud music that we could hear much of our first evening.

Stay was pleasant

Very cozy, comfortable and relaxing place. I loved there everything comfortable bungalow well furnished and equipped, very attentive staff and perfect environment. We enjoyed breakfast on the seaside and clean comfortable beach which was just few steps from our bungalow. Sunsets were amazing.

The music from the one of the bars next to our hotel was terrible. Starting every night after sunset and continuing until 2 am the loud noise turns paradise to a hell.

The staff was awesome, the rooms were super nice and clean and the restaurant was simply amazing (really good breakfast and lots of options for lunch / dinner!). Kudos to the chef!! Would definitely come back (but hopefully not in rainy season!)

Maybe because we visited in August, the beach was not clean and we had to go to other areas of the island to enjoy it. A small river was ending to the beach next to the hotel and this was causing rubbish being there. Probably the staff could have cleaned a little bit better the area, but it looked like mission impossible to be honest. The staff in any case was super nice and helpful !!

Beautiful, stylish bungalows on the beach in lovely garden with pool area. Intimate setting with only 9 bungalows so very personal, friendly service. Nice breakfast, good bar with very happy and helpful staff.

In low season (June to September) you can’t swim in the sea and many local bars and restaurants are closed but I will definitely try to return in high season if it’s not fully booked.

Supernice hotel, loved it all! The staff, room, and food were excellent, and the hotel's area was elegant and well-maintained. God pressure in the shower (which is extra essential to get out the shampoo from my afro hair :D). The room smelled magnificent. The bed is 10/10, so comfy! Here is Trash Hero's thermos in the room, which you can refill at the restaurant. This is a great environmental choice to avoid plastic bottles, and it also keeps the water cold at the beach or by the pool. I stayed in a bungalow at the beach. Warmest recommendations from me!

I loved the bungalows. We were here for 6 nights so had a bit of down time , the rooms are so spacious & comfortable. The dining is on the waterfront so you get the beautiful breezes. The staff are so lovely & sweet. The cooking was so good. The green curry was the best. The meals are so generous we shared.

The only negative was the beach at low tide is very rocky so swimming is really not possible . But there is the pool & a little walk up the beach you can swim.

Beautifully designed with gorgeous attention to detail. The bed was so comfortable & felt luxury. The weather wasn’t great while we were visiting so having a wonderful restaurant & good vibes was very welcome during those rainy days. will definitely be back x

It wasn’t the hotels fault as the beach had suffered extreme storm damage during low season so there was a lot of washed up rubbish nearby. They were very good though & cleaned the area outside the hotel regularly.

Great place to stay, limited number of bungalows, but pity about beach & surrounding bars at night.

Very nice bungalow, beach front, great staff, nice restaurant & bar, services and close to restaurants and bars (walking if needed).

You cannot really swim as many rocks in the water in front of the lodge. Visible at low tide. When we were there (May) tvere had been sole bad weather so the beach was a mess (lots of rubbish washed up). Did not go to the beach in ffo g of lodge. Pool is very nicely done but a bit small perhaps. Next door was as beach bar with extremely noisy “music” until 01:30 AM! Earplugs provided by lodge but luckily we had our own (better ones). We had it 2 nights out of the 4 we were there. “Party” nights at the mushroom bar. Lodge not at fault for both beach & bar but still good to know in advance if you plan to go here.

Beautiful place with amazing staff!

It's an amazing place with beautiful views and friendly staff. You can enjoy the beach just in front of the resort. The food in the restaurant is delicious, both breakfast and lunch/dinner options. We visited the place with small kid and I can definitely say that Lazy Lodge is a children friendly place:) I would recommend it to everyone coming to Koh Lanta.

We had a magnificent time!

The location, food, beach, staff hospitality, cleanliness. Everything was more than what we expected. It's a beautiful place to stay for 2-3 nights, the staff is helpful and ensures you have a beautiful stay at the resort.

There wasn't anything to not like at this resort. It's a very calm and peaceful place to live. If you are looking for a party place then, this may not be for you. You can go and relax at this serene beach.

Peaceful and comfortable stay by the beach

Perfect beachfront location. Clean and nice room. Comfortable bed. Excellent cleaning service. Affordable, nice smell and well folded. Good food. Helpful and responsive staff, including with organising transfers with the caveat below.

Shared transfer to Krabi through the hotel was annoying as it did not take us to Ao Nang as agreed but only to Krabi town where we were asked to get out and had to arrange for transfer ourselves. Moreover driver was rude. Breakfast could be more generous and tastier. All portions are very small regardless of the option chosen. Same is true for other meals we had at the hotel (lunch or dinner) but to be fair we found this to be generally the case in Phuket/Krabi. Room’s doors/windows were not completely closing and door had an annoying system to open. However, the mosquito net around the bed partly compensated for that.

Cozy and comfy

We absolutely loved The Lazy Lodge. The cabins are stylish and comfortable, the garden is beautiful, the restaurant is great (recommend trying the authentic Thai dishes and the Swedish pancakes for breakfast). The staff is welcoming and friendly, Coco was a fantastic help in booking activities like a mangrove tour. While most of the island was very quiet and a lot of places closed -due to green/rainy season- the Lazy Lodge was up and running and offered all services. On sunny days there was the option to book a massage right there on the beach.

It is incredibly sad to see the amount of pollution that washes up on the beach every day. I am not sure if this is better in high season due to weather conditions or clean-up actions.

Perfect place to stay in Koh Lanta

We loved our stay at the Lazy Lodge. The resort is immaculate. The rooms are super clean with comfortable beds (we slept so well here). The staff are absolutely amazing. They are so kind and attentive to their guests needs. The day-time front desk person (female, shoulder length hair) should be recognized by the owner/s for her excellent work. She made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. She was so helpful during our stay, arranging on-site delivery for our motorbike rental and she booked our transportation to Koh Tao. The kitchen staff are so talented too! The complimentary breakfast every morning was so big and delicious. For lunch and dinner, they can cook amazing Thai and Western food to your liking. I have to give a shout out to the man landscaping and maintaining the property while we there. He was so friendly and brightened our day every time we talked to him. We will be recommending this place to friends/family visiting Thailand.

We stayed here in late May. Other reviews mention the Mushroom Bar nearby. It closes for the season in early May so no need to worry about the “noise” if you’re staying here during that time.

This hotel is really calm in low season, rooms are comfortable with a terrace (pictures really match what we had), the gardener is very friendly, nice beach front.

The people from the reception and the waitresses are not friendly at all, not a smile, don’t care about customers, we had to come get them to get anything for breakfast.

Beachside heaven

The resort is beautiful and is even prettier than the photos in real life. The staff are lovely and the food is great including the breakfast. The location is wonderful right next to the beach and lots of local restaurants, shops and Thai massage places.

We were warned by the resort themselves and also other reviews so cannot moan too much but oh my gosh the noise from the nextdoor bar was very loud late at night! It didn't cause a problem in the day, just regular music but past 10pm our room was like being nextdoor to a nightclub. I imagine Lazy Lodge don't have much control over this and would love the noise to stop too but this is worth considering if you would be very annoyed about this. For us we didn't find it ruined the experience and we still enjoyed our time greatly! I think as we were a beachfront room the noise for us would be the worst as well so perhaps other rooms furtherback might be better for peace and quiet!

A little paradise, even better if their neighbour stops playing such loud "music"

I loved almost everything in this small resort close to a beautiful beach: location, desing and decoration of the common areas, the beautiful room with many special details for the comfort and enjoyment of the guests, the delicious breakfast and dinners, the helpful staff, especially the people in charge of the reception, the eco-friendly attitude.

The only thing that I did not like was the bed, not firm enough for me, but I am sure many other people do like such soft beds. There was another thing I did not like, although it is not the responsability of The Lazy Lodge: the resort close to it starts playing loud "music" around 16.00 PM until late in the evening, spoiling thus the idilic athmosphere of the whole area with their sound pollution. In my opinion, music should be played in close spaces, in order not to impose it on those that don´t wish to listen to it.
