Kasbah Rayane Ait Ben Haddou

Kasbah Rayane Ait Ben Haddou offers a breathtaking location that truly captures the magic of the Moroccan landscape. The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff, once we arrived, were incredibly warm and helpful—especially after some initial hiccups with our reservation and communication. A standout feature was the shower, which was surprisingly excellent for a desert setting! The breakfast was authentic and enjoyable, though not luxurious.

While the experience on-site was wonderful, the pre-arrival communication could use some attention to ensure a smoother start for guests.

There was a banging noise on the roof due to the wind.

Location is fantastic, close to Ait Benhaddou and Ourzazet but quite secluded in a very quit area. The staff are wonderful and their food is even better. Very clean and well kept.

Nothing to complain about.

The property was beautiful with great views and close to Ait Benhaddou. Room was spacious but basic. There are cats which are well looked after there, but they will beg! Personally I didn’t mind this as I like cats and the staff treated them well.

The staff were distant and rude. When we arrived they made us tea (which is standard) and said they would welcome us and tell us about the local area, but left us alone without knowing anything for about 15 minutes. I went to find them on their phones with their feet up in another room, completely ignoring us. I had to ask to be shown our room and for local recommendations but they were unable to give any and kept suggesting we eat dinner at the Kasbah, which we didn’t want to do. When we checked out we were told we had to pay a tax but this wasn’t made clear as the member of staff was speaking on the phone and ignored us. Be aware the property is accessible only by a gravel track which can be difficult in a small vehicle.
