Would defently recommend staying here.

The property is in a quiet area, far enough from Ubud trafic and tourists. The rooms were very nice. The hosts are very nice and helpfull. The helped us with laundry service at a very good price It has a parking and a nice pool. Our room had a small fridge that was brand new. We’ve got an upgrade to a newly built room, which was very spacious and cozy at the same time. We hade a front porch with a table and two comfy chairs and a very comfy couch also. The matress and the sheets were in new condition and every thing was more than nice.

Perfect. We have travelled for 5 months and this was definitely one of the best stays we have had

Perfect stay for 3 nights in ubud for my boyfriend and I. The staff were super friendly and always available. The room was super spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean. The aesthetic suited the ubud style. Breakfast was included and consisted of 4 options to choose from which then got delivered to our room so we could eat it on the balcony. Balcony was spacious. Location: great location for us as we did not want to be in the middle of the busy centre but could easily walk 20/30 minutes to get there. We actually spent most of our time locally. There are shops and restaurants really near by. We recommend the Uma Italian restaurant just a 5 minute walk away but there are plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. We loved the naughty Nuri’s warung BBQ for a cheaper dinner meal.

Lovely spot

It was a great spot to stay a couple days on my trip. It was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helped me with my luggage up the stairs. The pool was lovely and it was nice to have a balcony off my room to sit and have coffee.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding because when I checked out, they qouted me double the price than the booking.com price and we kind of went back and forth about it. Ultimately she agreed and I paid what I expected to pay. My other accommodations after this one, I had no trouble with the pricing being different than what is stated on booking.com. I would recommend this place just be clear about it on checkout.

Great value for money. The Kalangan is located in nice, quiet area, approx 15-20 min walk from the center of Ubud.The room was specious and clean.Staff was really great and easy for communication.I would always return in this hotel.

Lovely :)

Our stay at Kalangan was really nice. The room was spacious and clean, with nice terrace. The pool was nice too. But the best thing was the staff - they helped us with everything! They prepared us early breakfast when we asked them to, they did our laundry and we also rented one of their scooters for a good price. We also enjoyed their massages.

Maybe breakfast could be a bit bigger but you can always ask for more for some extra payment.

Lovely people, nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, exotic and spotless. The pool was well looked after and such a haven to return to after a hot day sightseeing. Brilliant trips arranged with knowledgeable and friendly driver. Spa massage special and a bargain. Thank you everyone at Kalangan!

Modern yet Balinese style rooms, quiet and peaceful, beautiful staff.

Only a small number of rooms so it was quiet and private. The garden is impeccable. Location was perfect as you could avoid the hustle of the main town, but only a short taxi drive or a walk if you’re up for it. Many beautiful shops, and cafes close by so could have avoided the busy town entirely if we wanted to. Spa on site and we loved having a massage most days then floating into our rooms. The local owner and staff were so friendly and accomodating and went above and beyond to make sure our family was happy and comfortable. I would return in a heartbeat.

Most beautiful room with the most beautiful staff!

Such a beautiful, authentic, serene guest house run by the loveliest staff. My room was so beautiful I couldn’t believe it! Definitely would stay again. The spa treatments I had were amazing and scooter I rented was a really good quality, new scooter with a good helmet. Prices for everything are very reasonable. Location is super, close to great restaurants, shopping and not too far from the Blanco museum gallery which I loved. I would recommend anyone to stay a little outside of central Ubud, because it’s much more peaceful and has more authenticity.

A filtered water dispenser somewhere in the lobby would be nice. But they do provide 2 free bottles on arrival which is lovely.

The owners make you feel at peace and welcome as soon as you walk through the door. Every room is unique as it was decorated by the owner himself, and the whole area ( swimming pool, paths between houses, etc.) gives you the impression to be in the middle of nature. Also very well situated!

Perfect retreat from crowded Ubud!

The owners are amazingly friendly people!!! They go to great lengths to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you for the dragon- and snake fruits! Peaceful and welcoming getaway, whilst being immersed in the Ubud culture.

Beautiful hotel with really comfy and spacious room! Staff couldn’t be more friendly and we loved the personalised breakfast brought straight to our terrace every morning. Hotel grounds so well maintained, really magical.
