It was quiet, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was clean and tidy.

We found it quite difficult to drain the water from the bathroom sink as the plug would not come out, the water flow in the shower isn't too great. Not a criticism, but a suggestion - it would be handy to have a welcome pack which had information like closest shops, a contact number for gp surgery etc and things like local footpaths, and places of interest

A very comfortable cottage. The position, garden and views were lovely and the neighbours were very friendly. We were thrilled to able to put heating on in the evenings, as the weather was inclement. The decor and furniture would not be everybody's cup of tea, but we found it added to the cottagy feel and made it relaxing. Helpfully, the second bedroom, which had no bed, and was set up as a dressing room, with an enormous mirror. It also gave us somewhere to stash the cases. Nice touch. Car parking was easy.

We would have liked a large saucepan for pasta and instructions for some of the gadgets - the microwave was a mystery to us!

Great location to get to Ripley, Harrogate, Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks. Wensleydale and Whitby also within easy reach. Clean and comfortable cottage. Parking and garden a huge bonus. Great set up for the dog.

As others have said, the kitchen could be better equipped and wouldn't cost much to do so. The place would benefit from more cutlery and crockery, and some sharper knives. Not a major issue but there is no soap in the apartment (only alcohol gel and washing up liquid). With no shops nearby, it's worth making sure you bring your own so that you have some as soon as you arrive.

In a good location for touring

Parking. The access is quite tricky. A large car would struggle The shower is not great as the water pressure is not very strong.
