Ok, clean, not sure if I would come back.
Generally good facilities for the money, property was cosy and did the job for a few days.
Furnishings tired. Mattresses for single beds very poor quality and beds too low. They need replacing. Extractor fan in bathroom not working.

Great crash-pad if you're happy to 'slum-it' a bit when visiting Alton Towers!
The location is excellent and perfect for a trip to Alton Towers. Definitely easier than parking in the main car park and also quicker to get into the park from the property. The hosts were good at communicating before the stay and kindly allowed us to leave our cars at the property even after check out. It is a good size but probably best for 8 people not the 10 maximum.
We had very high hope for this property, but unfortunately our stay was towards the end of the summer season and it showed. The property felt worn and shabby in places, for example, the tap on the downstairs bathroom was hanging off the wall by a thread and the sofas had seen their best days a while ago. Most of the beds were very uncomfortable with thin mattresses and all sorts of lumps. Some of the bedding and towels had dark patches one them and although I have no doubt they had been cleaned the look did not make them feel clean. The kitchen and lounge area were not very clean with crumbs and dirt under the sofas as well as a sticky dining table and worktops. The kitchen was not particularly well stocked with cooking equipment. In one room there were two double beds to take the available sleeping arrangements from 8 to 10 - this was a bit odd.

Short break
Close to Alton towers
Mattresses/ small rooms/ old furniture , very expensive for 2 nights , not good value for money, owner needs to spend some Money on mattresses and sofas etc

Great location with good restaurants and pubs within a short drive. Could do with a bit of a refresh
It couldn't be better located for Alton Towers, less than 100yds from the entrance. It had all the equipment you need for a short stay. Showers were all very good, with good pressure/flow.
The beds we used weren't very comfortable. The mattresses could do with replacement. Some of the crockery was dirty/greasy, so hadn't been checked between stays.

Perfect location, potentially a great little cottage, just needs a little investment.
Location is amazing. Booked specifically to visit Alton Towers which is a two minute walk away, perfect. The little welcome of biscuits and crisps was a nice touch and the facilities in the kitchen were great - we had packed scourers, tea towels, kitchen roll, soap and cleaner but it was all provided which was great. Information folder is really good too. The area is so quiet, it’s lovely. Quaint cottage. Black outs for the skylights are a great idea.
This cottage has bags of potential but we felt it needs a little investment. Beds in particular were uncomfortable - one bed upstairs had broken slats but instead of repairing, solid boards of mdf had been placed under the mattress making it too uncomfortable to use. Also, some of the duvets and pillows were stained - the covers and pillowcases were clean but I don’t think I’d be asking visitors to strip the beds knowing how stained they are underneath. Disappointed the grass was knee high as we’d hoped our son could play in the garden. Needs a smart tv rather than freeview. It’s a bit overpriced in our opinion but you’re paying for that perfect location.

Okay for a short stay but wouldn’t rush back.
The location is brilliant. Less than 5 minutes walk to the park it’s literally on your doorstep. The property was big and spacious. Beds and towels all clean enough. Fridge freezer all okay. I liked the fact it had a washing machine but could use an airer at the property to hang washing out to dry.
The property needs a good clean and refurb. Everywhere is dirty, dusty and loads of cobwebs. The mattresses weren’t very comfortable but were ok for the short stay. The grassy area which is communal and meant to be usable was totally overgrown up to past our knees so we couldn’t even step into it to let the kids play. All the walls were a bit dirty and marked and the dining area walls were marked with what looked like snail trails. The sofa has seen better days. When we arrived the couch was all split apart and the cushions were so well used they were falling off the actual base the whole time we were there. I think the property could do with a really good deep clean.
