Lovely room which had all the bells and whistles - fridge, coffee maker, air con etc.
The building is amazing and worth going to for a look around!
Evening meal in Marco Pierre White restaurant was really good and not extortionate.
Breakfast in the same restaurant was good but not to the same standard as the evening meal.
Not much - but £20 to park the car in a hotel car park would be expensive for a major tourist city and too expensive for Durham.
We were a bit miffed that although we arrived a couple of hours after check in time, our room was not ready for us.

All the staff we encountered were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of options. Really close to everything but quiet area.

Location is convenient to reach the main destinations. I did not have breakfast at the hotel. I did have trouble finding my room upon arrival. They need to improve the signs for us to find our room more easily. Overall, the hotel was quite good. However, I was not impressed with Durham and disagree with the Michelin guide giving it a three-star rating. A two-tar is
all it deserves.
