The Briary

I left my phone charger there, and the staff called me up after I checked out, and saved the phone charger for me - very kind of them and I really appreciated it!

Very comfortable bed. Well equipped room with bath, shower, arm chairs, plenty of tea, coffee and milk and even a microwave! Sam the owner greeted us warmly the moment we arrived and showed us to our room. We were there as the result of a family trauma, so his friendliness was very welcome. The room and the hotel felt very secure. He encouraged us to put our vehicle in the hotel car park in front of the garages, although he said the area was very safe and there was plenty of on street parking. Lovely area with mature trees and old houses. Sam recommended places to eat and we had a nice walk to find food. There were plenty of eateries within walking distance.

Due to the age of the hotel there is some need for decoration in the hallways, but that will be an ongoing project in a building of that size.
