Rocca degli Olivi

The location is right in the middle of vineyards and olive tree plantations, on the sunny hills of Tuscany, close to San Gimignano, a great base for explorations by car. The rooms looked clean and well maintained and the pool seemed very inviting.

Unfortunately, the room we rented was too small for us (two adults with a teenager) so we had to cancel the stay. Manfredi, the host, was very accommodating to make an exception and allow us to cancel penalty-free although we booked a “no cancellation” policy. He was also very nice and helped us locate a more suitable place so we could better enjoy our holiday. Thank you very much, sir!

Everything was absolutely perfect. A beautiful historic tuscan house, Mr Manfredi took a great care of us, we felt like we were visiting a friend. Not to forget his two furry supervisors - Ginger and Macchia.

The beautiful fields surrounding the property perfectly set the tone of our stay there. The olive orchards, the walnut trees, the rolling Tuscan hills, and the walled town of San Gimignano in the background…oh my…you could have anything better. Manfredi, our host, went well above and beyond to make our stay very memorable. He gave us a lot of important information about the area (not only San Gimignano but the area all the way down to Siena) only a local could provide. We followed all of his advice and had experiences we never would have had we stayed elsewhere. He even scheduled an appointment with a local doctor and brought us to the appointment. Ginger and Macchia provided comfort and relaxation after a full day of adventures. Breakfast was delightful and his olive oil is one the best I have ever tasted. My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer!!!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

Breakfast was great. View was beautiful. Fan in the bathroom - a rarity.

Pictures when we booked didn’t reflect what we received. Air Con purifying needed cleaning. Pity about the Torrential rain.
