We had an amazing weekend stay at Palacete Museu (Espaço Palmeiras) in Porto. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, the setting absolutely stunning, and the warm welcome made us feel right at home. The location is perfect — close to everything yet peaceful and full of charm. Maria and Júlia were incredibly kind and attentive, making our stay truly memorable. We loved every moment and would definitely come back!

The owners of the property were very nice and tried to be helpful. They helped us find parking and we were grateful for that. It is a shame that their property is not as good as it could be.
The house smelled like mothballs and air freshener. There was a rooster that lived somewhere in the yard (it could have been a neighbor’s yard, but it was right outside) that started making noise at 4am and we were not provided with a remote for the a/c to turn the fan on to try to drown out the noise. They probably would have given us one if we had asked, but the worst noise was the last night so there was no point. However a remote for the a/c definitely should have been in the room.- we searched everywhere and I ended up sleeping on the floor in the bathroom because it was so loud in the bedroom. Also, the front door and the door to our room were hard to open, the handle on the sink was broken, the windows were not in great shape and hard to open or close, and honestly, the house felt more like a haunted house than a “palace museum”
