Canto De Luz - Luxury Maison

Canto De Luz is central but very peaceful. It’s a beautiful hotel, the attention to detail is perfect, incredibly clean and so comfortable. Gorgeous room, garden and a lovely pool. What makes it more special are the fabulous staff, unbelievably helpful and kind. And the breakfasts are stunning. We couldn’t rate this place highly enough. Didn’t want to leave.

The property was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and professional. The ambiance was very relaxed while maintaining a high quality of service. The atmosphere was welcoming friendly and made the stay very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, everything was made freshly , every morning you were greeted with a plate of fresh fruit cut up along with a local Portuguese sweet treat with fresh bread rolls. I would recommend booking this hotel and would return or look into booking their other hotels in other cities. It is situated about a 20 minute stroll from the Douro river which was perfect easy to access the tourist spots if you wish while providing a quiet retreat. The air conditioner was the quietest I’ve ever had in any hotel.
